Brahms/Mount makes wonderful baby blankets. They are soft enough to cover the nursing baby and strong enough to cover the floor as a play mat. Brahms/Mount has a factory store in Hallowell Maine and has sales once or twice during the year to clear out overstocks. If you want a blanket to last a long time, look into a Brahms/Mount blanket. My favorite is the large houndstooth, the way it falls feels so snuggily. The added bonus is that customer service is very helpful.
