Does anyone know where to get bedding and accessories that feature aliens? I have looked and can't find anything, only "celestial" patterns. I would love to have alien bedding and then have some shelves and lamps with rockets, stars, moons, etc. I would also LOVE a growth chart that was a rocket or alien.

Also, are those things that stick to walls called Wallies? Where can you find those? Do they have a good assortment? House is a rental, so I can't paint.

The closest I've found for anything is at poshtots.com and there's no way that's gonna fly with DH. He's still dealing with the $150 high chair purchase, LOL :)

I know DS is 4 months, but he's moving into his own room soon, which a friend of ours has been staying in. I would love any help! TIA!

You may want to check out a Canadian company called www.clairedelune.com I think that's the address. They have a rocketship and robot motif that's quite funky.

I'll let you know if the address is different. The great advantage is that you get a great exchange on your dollar.

I heard about new bedding pattern recently called Space Ships from a company called MB Baby/Marcus Brothers. Not exactly aliens, but close? My husband is a big Trek, Babylon 5, etc. fan so we always have friends telling us about baby sci fi stuff that they see!

babysupermall.com carries MB Baby, but I didn't see that pattern posted. Maybe you could call them and see if they carry it. I didn't find any of my other favorite sites that had that brand.

Funny Friends Soft Sculpture is coming out with a Rocket Ship Growth Chart, probably in about January. I was considering their palm tree chart recently, but decided not to spend the $$$. I imagine the rocket ship will be around the same price as the palm tree (about $60)Their site is at:

Good luck!

I couldn't find anything, but saw this site that had ideas for decorating.

Oh, wait! There was this:

And here's spaceships, but not on the sheets:

No aliens, but this one has planets:

Okay, that's what I've come up with! Of course since DS is already 4 months, you probably wouldn't be using a bumperpad much longer, so I don't know that a crib set would be worth it at this point. You can always get solid sheets and just decorate the rest of your room with the theme (you could do lots with paint!). That's what I've done. You don't really notice the sheets after a while. And if you know anyone handy, I think it would be pretty easy to make your own rocket growth chart out of some plywood using a circular saw. Oops! Just noticed you can't paint. Hmmmm....I guess you need Wallies or something.

The address for Wallies is http://www.wallies.com. They have a VERY cute Todd Parr Space set (plus a border) which looks like it might do the trick! Search on "space." There's also a mural if you search on "rocket."

Good luck!

Joanne,

I was going to recommend going to a Warner Bros. shop to check out "Marvin the Martian" but I searched the web and they have closed all their shops. I looked on eBay and could not find any bedding, but they have a bunch of "Marvin the Martian" accessories that would be cute - stuffed toys, clocks, posters, etc. You might want to check it out! I also searched "alien" and found a bunch of stuff (most of it is weird, but I did notice a plush alien from "Toy Story II" that was really cute.)

I have seen Wallies at JoAnn Fabrics. I think they stick just like wallpaper so you might not be able to use them in a rental house.

Good luck!

Wow, thanks everyone! I need a new search engine, I guess! The claire de lune link brought me to a website for a cafe. I entered it into Google and it didn't bring anything up. Thanks again.

Here's what it says on the Wallies site:

Do I need to use wallpaper paste to put them up?
No. WALLIES are pre-pasted. You just wet the back of the Wallies with a wet sponge for a few seconds and then stick them to the wall. It is so easy.

Borders and murals must be wet, either by running them under the faucet or dipping in water.

Can I get them off once I stick them up?
Yes. WALLIES are made to be durable and to stay put once they are up, but when you are ready to take them off they can be stripped off by wetting them again.
