Has anyone seen baby bedding with a simple princess/prince theme? I have seen Princess and the Pea and all that, but I'm looking for something much simpler - perhaps just crowns with no characters. Much appreciated.

If you have no luck finding such a thing I wonder if these new fancy emboidrey machines might beable to produce you some regal theme...

You'd probably have to hit a Joanne's and hit an employee up to direct you some...but that could be pretty on a comforter, maybe gold/yellow crowns with an accent color for "stones"...and then pick a fabric for the dust ruffle of the gold color to match...or stone color to match.

That sounds pretty...:)
YOu'll have to find a frog lamp or something though...you'll have to have one frog in there somewhere:):):)

Sorry. I couldn't really come up with anything. This might be one of those themes where you're better off getting a solid or "theme-less" bedding, and doing the theme with accessories.

Here's some cool drawerpulls:

There's also a mobile from California Kids with gold lame' crowns, but the canopy of the mobile is pink, and I wasn't sure if you were looking for gender neutral.

The only thing I found that was close was this Frog Prince pattern. Very much on the "pricey" side, but I think this is what Kelly Ripa has in Lola's room:

Sue,

What cool websites! How do you find all these websites? I know you have helped others out when they have been searching for stuff. Do you just use a search engine?

Thanks for posting these - I will have to look at them in more detail later!

BTW, I still haven't decorated DS's room yet. His crib is still naked looking! We did order the Lands' End barnyard sheets and loved them, but returned the bumper pad and crib skirt (the bumper pad was way too long for the crib - it overlapped itself and I could not attach it to the rails!). We did keep the sheets though, so we are looking for coordinatin accessories (bumper, skirt, etc.) We are going to be moving to NC as soon as we sell our house. I hope that in our new home I can be a little more inspired than I was here!!

Hi!

I don't know if you can still get this - but Kimberly Grant used to have Prince and Princess bedding patterns. They were very simple patterns - very elegant. But I think they got discontinued - so you may have to call the company and beg to find someone who can help you and send you pictures.

You can go to her site at:
http://kimberlygrant.com/crib.html

And it looks like there may be still pictures posted of Little Prince and Little Princess. Their site is all juiced up with some fancy Flash stuff and I don't want to install the plug-in for it, so I can't really check for you to see if the pictures are there.

Good luck!

those are all so pretty...what a shame if they discontinued that kimberly grant pattern...that is some elegant bedding...I had never seen it.

OH by the way when I reccommended the emboidry machine I meant to hire someone who had one to do it...hope you didn't take that like "ya go to Joanne's and buy one". As I re read my post it looked like that was what I said, and I didn't mean it that way.

Good luck...keep us posted on what you do :)

Wow, I really like that Kimberly Grant bedding - expensive though! I doubt I'll get it together in time to get someone to do the embroidery crowns for me, though.
Now I feel like changing themes all together; there is so much more out there than what's at the neighborhood Baby's R Us. But with not too much time to go I'd better decided and get moving. Thanks, all.

I personally don't think it would take much to "copy" that Kimberly Grant set...the dust ruffle is a nice easy flowing fabric and that look can be created easily...

If you know a seamstress I bet they can knock that off :)

Dreamtime baby has it on closeout, but it's still pretty expensive. Here's the link, though.

I just do searches in Yahoo. Not always the best results, but it's what I'm use to.

Sue,

Thanks for posting. I've never used Yahoo, but I will now! I love all these websites that you have found!!

FYI, I bought a PBK yellow patchwork bumper for $20.00 on clearance at the store, as well as a regular priced yellow chambray crib skirt for Andrew's crib. It does not look "naked" anymore!! The yellow sort of matches the yellow in the farm animals on the sheets. It is by no means a designer look, but it makes me a little happier that his bed doesn't look so empty.

I dont know if you are still looking, but I just got home from Baby Depot and Burlington Coat Factory and they have a crib set called Princess that is simple and sweet. It looked like pale pink satin and cream fabric with the wording Princess and a pale gold crown. Check it out, it might be what you are looking for. Good Luck

I saw a cute and pretty simple set on AnnaClairedesigns.com for a princess.
