crib bumper

Hi,

Just about to move my 4 and a half month son into a crib (he's been in a co-sleeper till now). My question is -- do I need a bumper? What is it for with babies this age?

I used a bumper until about 1 year old. It depends how much of a climber your baby will be as well as how tall. My moved around a lot so the bumpers protected her head. It took a while after removing them for DD to get reused to sleeping in the crib. Just a day or two.
