Hello!

Has anyone seen any pink toile bedding sets anywhere? I found a set on French Laundry Co.'s website that is really cute, but it's an expensive set. I love the pattern and have seen similar ones in stores months ago, but I can't find another brand that has bedding in this type of fabric/print.

Thanks!

I was all set to do our nursery in toile, but became really frustrated finding what I wanted. It seems strange with the rise in toile in the past couple of years, but there just isn't that much available in it for bedding and wallpaper. Wendy Bellisimo (www.wendybellisimo.com) makes a green toile set and a pink and green patchwork toile set if you want to check there. I had really wanted pink toile wallpaper and a more general bedding set but just couldn't find what I wanted - most of the toiles were either to old-world looking or had characters mixed in with them. In the end I went another route altogether but still adore toile :).

Good luck-
Debbie.....20 days and counting!

There's a toile at at our local discount fabric place that is going for $7.99 a yard and what I like about it is it is a "big top" theme.

BUT one of my all time favorite nursery decors (and I forgot about it when I planned my nursery and will always wonder if I should have done it) is a Brunswick and Fils (think that is the spelling...a fabric/wallpaper higher end line) of bunnies in a toile pattern. I don't know if the bunnies are a Mr Wiggley theme. Mr Wiggley was big when my mom was little and he is a wise old man bunny...with cane and little glassses...

This toile is gorgeous!!! I'd consider buying the fabric and then having what you need made...again I think they make it in wallpaper and fabric...I've seen the blue but they have to have it in pink too...

If you find this let me know what you think...OH I love it!!!

Okay, here's loads of stuff! We didn't find out the sex of our baby, but in my puffy pink daydream fantasies I was completely going to go the green toile route. But I knew deep down that we were having a boy, so now I've decided to do aliens! A bit different, huh? Anyway, there are some crib sets here and some of the links have pillows, clocks, lamp shades, stroller blankets, even a car seat cover! But that might be a bit of overkill...You don't want to blind the poor thing! The last link is a rug I had found during my PG days...I thought it would go nicely with green toile. And the babystyle.com chair and ottoman set is a great price...but if you want a more "adult" looking chair, check out the one from the first link. I used to work in this store; it's called Punch and they have beautiful things for little kids. They also used to sell an ottoman, but I don't see it listed on the site. It's a bit more expensive, but I have a feeling the babystyle one is foam...Good luck and please share with me what you do! I have a feeling I am destined to only have boys so my big pink dreams have gone poof! :)

Hi Heidi- I too love toile bedding and a) either found sets out there a little too pricey, or b) a little too girly for the little boy on the way

I found a few fabrics, which I loved and was going to hire someone here to make for me (I cannot sew nor do I have any interest!!), BUT found a GREAT website that custom sews baby bedding: www.javisdavis.com

There are really cute, high quality toile fabrics (the pink toile looks adorable). They send you really well sized fabric samples and are incredibly accomodating to meeting any "custom orders" (i.e. if their standard sizing doesn't work).

I haven't yet received my order, so I can't tell you how I like it in person but Mary Lou was so incredibly helpful throughout the process and is very knowledgeable on industry standards and safety issues.

I am incorporating a few fabrics (from different price categories in the topsy turvy "red" line) and have ordered 1 bumper, 1 tailored bedskirt, 2 window valances, 1 coverlet, and 1 sheet (I want to try the sheets out before ordering more to make sure I like it IRL) at a total cost of $331 ($243 without the valances). Compared to the Wendy Bellisimo's Apple Tree Farm (same "base" fabric) which is priced at $370 for the bumper, skirt, sheet, and coverlet. I think that French Laundry's bedding was priced similarly.

Sorry for the long post- I have spent so much time on this, I was just so psyched to share my research!!! Good luck -

Kate

Thanks for all of the great links! I love the lampshade-how cute is that?

Thank you so much! They do have beautiful fabrics too. They have the exact pink toile that I like. I'm seriously considering ordering from them.

Did those prices include the fabric? I noticed that they sell fabric by the yard and I was wondering if that was separate. I'm anxious to hear how your bedding turned out!!!

Hi again (can't sleep!!). Yes, the prices I quoted for my bedding include fabric and labor (and I think I'm paying something like $20 total for shipping, which I think is reasonable).

You can also buy additional fabric by the yard (which is comparable to buying the fabric at other on-line sites) if you want to make your own accessory items rather than having them do it. One other thing, their bumpers tie in the middle w/ fat ties but she will do your bumper with top and bottom ties if you prefer and will meet any crib skirt length you want.

I should be getting my bedding in about 2 or 3 weeks, so I'll let you know how it turns out!

Thanks for all of your input Kate! I am totally psyched. Their stuff looks like such good quality and I love how they use coordinating fabrics to accent the bumpers and coverlets. I like the idea of having my crib set made because all of the sets that I like are $370++!

For sure let me know how your stuff turns out!

Those seem like excellent prices!!!!
That would be a great info for the Fields to put in their next book if you are happy with the outcome. :)
Great info!!!

I bought my set on babybox.com. The set was by Angel Baby and is called Central Park Toile. They also have a moses basket in pink toile by another company (cant remember the name). Great matching nursery accessories too if you can get your mother in law to by stuff for you like i did :-)

I'll have to check them out. They did a press release about their partnership online. I can't wait to see what they have.

When I found out I was pregnant, I had already done our guest room in blue, with a Waverly French Country blue toile pattern on the drapes and throw pillows. I was thrilled when I found out I was having a boy - didn't have to repaint! I was going to sew the crib bedding myself, to match the drapes, but I lucked out on ebay!! I found a seller with the EXACT bedding I was looking for: duvet with removable cover, bumbers, skirt, pillow, and fitted sheet for only $175!!! And I know they also sell the same toile bedding in red, green, black, and possibly yellow.

See the set I bought at
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2079439647&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOAB:US:6

(when you see it, you can view the seller's other items currently up for auction), or you can contact the seller directly at [email protected].

Hope this helps! :)

Christie,

I just wanted to say that I think the set you got is GORGEOUS!!!!
I can imagine you'd be thrilled especially since it matches your room...

It sounds so elegant...I am trying to save a room in my house "to toile" :)...I love it!!!!

I just saw a really great looking Pink Toile Crib set. It is made by Bananafish and it is called Lisa. Brandee Danielle also has a green toile with pink and white accents called Baby Toile that is really cute.

I received my bedding from Javis Davis yesterday and it is absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!!

Not only are the fabrics great, but the workmanship is just beautiful ( everything is fully lined and the inserts on the crib skirt are just so cute!). The assistance Mary Lou provided on coordinating fabrics was really helpful too! I couldn't be happier.

My digital camera is on the fritz (of course, when I really need it!!) but if I can fix it I'll post photos.
