did you wash your bedding before you put it up?

My husband is setting up the crib today!! We are probably picking up our bedding on Friday. Should I wash everything (ruffle, bumper, sheets and quilt???) before I put it all up? Thanks.

Definitely wash the sheets. Probably the bumper. I wouldn't worry about the ruffle, unless there is an odor to it.

The quilt is up to you - depends on how you plan to use it. If it will hang on a wall, I wouldn't wash it, but if it will come in contact with baby (e.g. snuggling after nursing), then I would wash it.
