Bumper Sizes

I'm having my bumpers made, but haven't bought the crib yet. Are all cribs generally the same size? Should I go to BRU and measure the crib for my seamstress? Or do you think she could just go by her dh's crib size? Also, what is the best thing to use for the bumper padding? I'm going to have her make them on the thin side. Thanks!

All cribs are the same size. The only thing that varies is the endpieces (you can get solid or open/bars) - that might affect how you have her put on the ties, but won't affect the size of the bumpers themself.

I've read that you can get bumper pad inserts at fabric stores, so you might want to check those out. Or someone might have another suggestion.
