Small pillow cases

I would like to get Sarah a small pillow. I found two that I like at Pottery Barn Kids ($9) and The Company Store ($14). These are both 12x16. But only The Company Store seems to sell cases that fit the small pillow and they don't have a wide color selection. Does anyone know where I can find a covering for a 12x16 pillow?

I'm interested in any information anyone has as well. It certainly wouldn't be difficult to make a pillow case but it can be difficult to find the time to sew with a toddler.

Gotta say, when in doubt, make it yourself! I've VERY recently become a sewing devotee (thanks in part to you!) and bought a Bernina, which I love. Heck, find a fabric you like and I'll make it for you!!! Any excuse to use my new machine. :) Want something embroidered on it? I can do that too!

Oh I could sew one, but I have a stack of projects that I am working on and prefer to use my scarce sewing time for things that I really enjoy. :) And by the time I shop for fabric, spend twice as much for fabric as I could buy one for, have the fabric sit around waiting to be pre-washed, sit around waiting to be cut, sit around waiting for me to sew it, Sarah will be in college! ;) I'm happy to spend $10 on a case, I just prefer to have a few more color choices.

I purchased travel sized pillows at a Wamsutta outlet near my home, not only did the pillows come in different colors, but they had an assortment of different colored pillowcases. I know you can purchase these pillows at LNT and BBB (or www.onestepahead.com) but they only come in white with a white or beige choice in pillowcases.

Not sure if this helps you, but it's an idea.

Hi Beth, did you ask at PBK for the pillowcases that go with the pillow? I got the small one (not sure of size) thanks for your post earlier and they said the "decorative" size would fit it. They had some discountinued patterns so I got 2 cases for $5/each. They were really helpful on the phone and guided me through the process. Noe loves her pillow BTW!

I ended up getting the PBK pillow. I wanted one to match her bedding, so I ended up paying full price at the store, but not too bad.

Guess I saw this too late - it seems that the "buodoir" pillow is 12 x 16 - I think the Company Store has some on sale in the non-kids section.

Thanks, but I did want a case to match her bedding, so I doubt I would have been able to get anything on sale anyway. :)
