We're temporarily decorating a room for our 2nd baby and I'm looking for those restickable wall stickers. This room will be the baby's room until she sleeps through the night; then we hope to move her into the nursery with our 1st daughter. Then this room will return to being an office/guest room so we don't want to do anything permanent.

I've found a few designs at Babies R Us but would love to find more variety. I used some Tiddliwinks Safari room tattoos from Target for our nursery (decorated over a year ago) and they've worked great -- easy to apply, to peel and move around, haven't peeled or fallen off, etc -- and my 16-mo-old now likes to talk to the animals when she wakes up, very cute). Unfortunately our local Targets don't carry those restickable stickers anymore. I liked their designs better than the BRU ones. I've found some online, mostly Priss Prints and Stikarounds (UK/Australia, it seems).

Just wondered if anyone had any other ideas for these restickable wall stickers. I don't think I want Wallies, I want something extremely easy to apply and remove.

Thanks, Ruth (Kay 09/14/02; Girl 03/16/04)

I am also looking for removable wallart. We live in a apartment so cant do anything permanent and I purchased stickups at walmart. and they are supposed to come off. Do you know if they really do come off without damaging the walls. Or any suggestions of where to get winnie the poooh wallart that is removeable.

Thanks
Ps. what are the different brands you are talking about what are wallies???

For wallies check out http://www.wallies.com/ (the Toddler Bargains book mentions these). They look like they are prepasted wallpaper cutouts but I don't know how easy they are to remove. The Priss Prints are like what we are using now -- the Toddler Bargains book also lists some sites for those. Check out http://www.prissprints.com/ for some samples. It's quite easy to find Winnie the Pooh stick up wall art. I saw some at Babies R Us. I got a growth chart there and have seen other wall decorations. And there are tons online. These are sort of like clingy plastic but they adhere to walls and doors (not just windows). Yes, they are really really easy to put up (in minutes) and they really do come down without damaging the walls. I moved some stickers from one door to another with absolutely no problem, and the sticker has stuck just fine to the new surface too (for several months now). Target used to carry some of these called Tiddliwinks but I can't find them now. That's what I'd like to find.

Good luck, Ruth

I just bought some Tiddliwinks safari room tattoos at Home Goods (a branch of TJMaxx) this weekend for $4.99. They didn't have any other designs though. Since the store does carry some nusery stuff, it might be worth it to browse there if your city has a store.

If anyone is interested, Toys R Us is having their baby fair sale 2/2 through 3/26 (I think) and they have those Priss Prints (restickable wall stickers) on sale 20% off (with coupon in in-store flyer).

I LOVE the Wallies - they were so easy to put up (& hopefully will be pretty easy to take down eventually). Another good resource is a store called Berlin Wallpaper: http://www.berlinwallpaper.com/priss_print_6.htm
They have Wallies, Priss Prints, & other similar products, & they had great customer service when I used them ~1 year ago.

I did my son's room as a water theme. Faux painted the walls sky blue w/ ragging & then from about midway down, an ocean blue w/ sponging. Made the midline ragged - as a waterline! Then put up Wallies Boats & Bouys, Wallies tropical fish & Priss Prints fish swimming in the 'ocean', & glow in the dark stars (bought at Staples office supply store) up near the top of the 'sky'. It came out adorable - I want a room that's this much fun!

Plus, accessorized with a 'moon lamp' from Ikea on the wall which doubles as a nightlight, & also a big, round mirror with green & blue tiles around it also from Ikea which resembles a porthole that I hung at the head of the bed in lieu of a headboard. Picked up an anchor shaped peg rack at Kohl's on clearance. Finally, found an adorable sailboat bedding set at Tuesday Morning.

Will attempt to take & post pics if anyone's curious!

You might also try blik--it's at www.whatisblik.com. Restickable wall art--they have a kid's section. It's quite modern and a bit expensive, but it's another option. Hope this helps!

Sorry--one more thing: www.wallcandyarts.com has cute, childlike things as well.

Okay, I'm done now. :)

Thanks - cute stuff!

If anyone else out there is looking for this type of restickable wall art, check out these sites:

http://www.fundecorforkids.com/index.html

http://www.berlinwallpaper.com/Ideastix/

http://www.babycare-direct.com/stikarounds.html

I'm not sure I'll use any of these, but someone else might find them useful.

The Feb. Parenting magazine had an article on wall art and listed some resources for buying. I think some of them were mentioned here.
