I like the ones that I see in Pottery Barn Kids' catalog, but I'm trying to find a similar selection at a less expensive price and preferably in a store so that I can check them out in person, any ideas?

Does Linen's and Things carry baby type curtains/sheers? Target? My mom said she didn't see any when she looked in stores like TJ's and Marshalls.

THanks!

Do you have an Ikea near you? Sometimes they have really cute kids stuff.

Thanks for the lead. I just checked their website and they have one coming here (Atlanta) in 2005. I'll still peruse their website stuff though just in case I stumble upon something good at a better price. Thanks a bunch!

I also saw some in Bed, Bath & Beyond, but I tend to think they are too expensive on everything.

I couldn't find anything I liked or felt was properly priced so I made mine. I bought plain sheers and embellished them with different things I saw at Michael's. Just an idea if you have the time!

Happy Hunting!

I don't know whether you are having a girl or boy, but I have seen the girly types of sheers before, though not with a huge selection. My DD actually has a flower embellished curtain in her room, but I don't recall where I got it, as it was a few years ago.

Some options:

Anthropologie normally has some more mature (less bright) sheers.

I don't really recall seeing that many at places like Target, though LNT is a good bet. Target tends to sell kids room stuff that goes with a bedding theme, which they have few of. Your best bet would be places like Macys, Pennys, and Sears. They tend to have pretty interesting kids bedding and accesories departments.

And if you really like one from PB, don't forget, there's always ebay.

The Company Store. Company Kids has a ton of sheers in different type of themes. Also check Ebay for PBK stuff. I have good luck with nursery accessories there. :)

GREAT idea! My mom sews and offered to make them for me so I'm actually going fabric shopping today. I never thought to just add stuff from Michael's onto plain sheers though, thanks! I'm going to Michael's also today anyway to look for stencils, so I'll check out there other stuff, too.

Thanks, ebay does have one panel of the sheers I like on there so I may bid on that. I checked out Company Kids and they have a set w/stars that I like but it has yellow in it which I don't know if I want. They're on sale though and that makes them about 8 dollars less per panel than PBK, so I'm going to keep them in mind, too.

Thanks a bunch!

Wow, thanks for all the great tips and links! I've got a lot of shopping around to do today :-)

My mom said she saw some star sheers at Pennys so I'm going to check there in a minute.

I bought some plain white sheers at Target and stenciled different sized stars on them with fabric paint. They turned out rather cute if I do say so myself.
