Does this cover the entire top of the mattress or just a strip of it?

I bought something at Target that I thought was similar to the ultimate crib sheet, but it is only a strip--maybe a foot wide. My three-month-old son has been having blow-outs nightly (argh) and not only do I have to change the sheets but I have to wash the mattress cover underneath the sheets. The problem with the strip is that he moves around so much that he moves off of it quite quickly, so in essence it offers no protection to the sheet. (He turns full circles in the crib by picking up his legs and rolling.) Also, because he moves so much I have worried a little about the safety of this thing--seems like he could easily get a foot or arm caught under it.

Thanks!

The Ultimate Crid Sheet covers the entire surface of the mattress. It also has three snaps on each side and one on each end to secure it to the rails of the crib.
