I've seen a bunch of posts about the UC sheet, but not the pad. What's the difference anyway? Which one do I want, if either?

I am in the middle of the same questions, but I found these threads that make me think that I will try the UCS. Then again you can never be too waterproof, right? So maybe I will register for both and if I get them then I'll see if I can use both. Anyway...here are the threads:

Have you seen the Ultimate Mattress Pad IRL? It's very textured to make it breathable but this causes a nice "waffle" pattern on DD's cheek when she gets up.

I like both - I just trade them out whenever I change the "sheets."

One thing -- the snaps are different on the Pad and the Sheet. One of them has bigger snaps and they are not interchangeable. The only reason why I bring this up is b/c the two end snaps need to be hooked onto the mattress frame. I leave these on all the time since I have a number of Sheets and Pads but now I've just color coded them so I know which one goes with the Pad and which one goes with the Sheet. If you're just starting out and don't want this hassle, you might want to just get 5 (or however many) fo the same thing (either Pad or Sheet) to avoid this hassle.
