How do you keep bumpers on a convertible crib?

They were tying it up high but with the mattress lowered there is no place to tie it.
Any body have this problem with a solution?

If the mattress is now set lower - it's time to put the bumpers away :)

He smushes his face into them to fall asleep.
At 9 months no more bumpers???

We're still using the bumper at 15 months. Couldn't imagine not using it as Declan crams his head into the corner all the time.

Don't know the answer about how to tie it on a convertible crib though. I'm having a hard time picturing what you're talking about.
