Calling all moms who have little boys! I would like to see pictures of your nurseries so that I may get a couple of ideas for mine. TIA!

I've been trying to find the nursery pics I know that I "must" have taken. All I can seem to find are those of DS's changing area. We did a gender neutral nursery, sage green with bunnies.

here's the changing table. I'll keep looking for others and post if I find any.

I have my pics on baby's website

http://kincaid.aboutmybaby.com/

Got the bedding super cheap at a Pottery Barn outlet, I think I spent less than $100 total on the WHOLE room, including paint (since the crib and rocking chair were gifts).

I did Andrew's nursey in the pbk bunnies. I used blue/white checked sheets, dust ruffle and basket liners.

I will post pics if I can find them on computer.

I have picts of my son's nursery under the Murals question. I did Dr. Seuss. It is not gender specific, but he loves it. I figure he'll get a few years out of it before I'm itching to paint something new. I'll attach a couple more different picts here.

Thanks so much! When I found out I was pg, it was the perfect time to go crazy with painting. It's my favorite hobby. I've also had a friend find out she was pg around the same time as myself so I did a Dumbo theme for her complete with a circus tent. Thanks for the great feedback!

Steph,

Your nursery is BEAUTIFUL! I especially like the blue wall with the tree -- it just seems so soothing and relaxing! Our little boy is due three days after yours and we are no where near this done -- haven't even called the lady to do the mural yet because I can't decide what I want her to do! Did you paint yours yourself? It really is lovely :)

I love your nursery! I have a few things I'm interested in:

How did you do the wall border?

Were did you get the wall storage bag that you have hanging int he corner by the crib?

How far up did you go with the green paint?

Thank you! I'm glad others think its cute, I have a biased opinion!
My mom painted the mural, she's going to add a monkey and a giraffe next time she's in time, I'm so lucky to have her!

As for being ready in advance, I can't help it, its like a sickness :-) I wish I could be more laid back but I guess now I'm happy to be done since I seem to be running out of energy as the 3rd trimester approaches.

Here's the answer to the questions:

I did the border with a stencil I found at http://www.buckinghamstencils.com It was long but fairly easy, just take your time!

The storage bag came from Ikea, they have many colors!!!
Its great for stuffed animals, we have a dog who loves them, so I had to keep the baby's stuffed animals off the floor

For the green paint, I went 31 inches from the molding, it was a bit challenging as the floors weren't straight so you have to be a bit flexible, I used a level that seemed to help a lot!

I hope this helps!

Barb -

Is that from "Oh the places you'll go!"?

We did our Dr Seuss room based on "There's a Wocket in my Pocket!" I, too, love to paint and this was a perfect nesting project! Here are a few pics of DS's room!

Your room is fabulous! I love There's a Wocket In My Pocket! I actually used several different books. I used Oh Baby The Places You'll Go for the castle, backgrounds and color inspiration (I took some creative liberty on some colors because I wanted soft colors not the bright primarys of some characters.) I used Horton, Sneeches, Yertle, and the fish and kite from Cat in the Hat. I also did one character from Wocket, I'll attach it. I have a few more pics uder the Murals question if you want to look there. That's where I first saw your great room. Thanks!
