I loved all the pics on the "Photos of completed nurseries" thread and wanted to start a new one of pics from toddler bedrooms. I know many of us have toddlers or would be interested in some ideas for down the road. There isn't any pictures/ideas under the Toddler thread, so I hope no one minds if I start this here! My son is 19 months old and we just moved into a new house- I am trying to figure out how to decorate his room and need some inspiration! Any photos/ideas anyone wants to share would be greatly appreciated!

This room is still a work in progress. It's a very small room (about 7.5 ft by 9.5 ft), and these pictures don't show everything, but here are some photos of his room. We have since taken the front rail off his crib, making it a toddler bed.

The paint is Behr/Disney's Bibbidi Bobbidi Blue.
The white shelves on the walls are from Target (9.99 each).
The letters are from K-Mart ($2.50 each).
The wooden toys on the shelves are from various sources, but mostly from two $5.99 clearance sets from Cost Plus.
The crib/bed is SNIGLAR from IKEA ($89).
The quilt cover was made out of a vintage tablecloth ($5) and some scrap white linen fabric. The quilt/comforter itself ($9) and pillow (5) are from IKEA. The vintage pillowcase was $3.
The bean bag is from Target ($16).
The lamp is from IKEA ($9).
The wool rug is from Overstock.com ($130).
I found the nightstand at a second-hand store for $10 and primed and painted it. The knobs came from Restoration Hardware ($4 each w/ a friend's employee discount).

You can't see it, but I also have a Robin bookcase ($59) in there from IKEA and several white SLUGIS ($2-5 each) bins both in the bookcase holding toys and under the bed bed storing extra clothing and bedding. There's also a $2 wall clock and a $5 mirror, both from IKEA.

OK, it's not a boy's room, but here is my 2 1/2 year old DD's room. I'm still looking for a cute needlepoint pillow with blues and greens for the rocker, and we have yet to put the valances up.

Your rooms are beautiful!! So very pretty! Can I ask you a few questions...where did you find your book display rack? I am looking for DS and would like to find one like yours. Also, I LOVE the handprint/footprint heart! Did you make that yourself or use a kit.

Your DD must be so in-love with her room!

I would love, love, love to see more pics of toddler rooms! We are just getting set to do DS's room and I am agonizing over the bed, bedding, decor, curtains, etc!

I am just starting to think about Jude's big boy room. I am thinking his monkey/Curious George nursery items will carry over with this selection....http://www.garnethill.com/cgi-bin/gh/beddingItem.jsp?CategoryOID=-19621&fromMix=yes

Thnak you for the compliments! The book rack is Pottery Barn with a coat of paint to help it match the antique white furniture we had in her nursery. Tha handprint heart is from a local company that just does baby/child hand and footprints.

I think I love DD's room even more than she does, but she does seem proud to show it off when we have company!

I love your girls' rooms too! They are classy and beautiful! I also have a couple of questions. First, where did you get your DD's name letters from? Second, is the scalloped border a wallpaper-type border or is it painted on the wall? I also love the heart plaque and wish I could find someplace local that does something similar. Beautiful rooms!

We did our son Sam's room in various shades of blue and red, then added posters (cheap wall decor!) of his current favorite characters. I bought the poster frames cheap at Michaels and we can swap the posters as his interests change.

Over his bed we now have his name in red letters (not pictured).

Sorry it took me a couple days to respond! The scallop is painted on the wall. I used large art/construction paper and created a template and taped them along the walls and then painted very carefully. DD's letters are sold on e-bay from the seller tiger444. I then painted them to match her bedding. I can't wait to finally decide on a name for DD#2 so I can paint her letters and finish her nursery!

Here is the room I moved our son into when he turned about 18 months because we needed the nursery for the new baby. We left the second bed in the room incase we had a guest come visit and need a place to sleep. We did the Ralph Lauren linen technique on the walls.

Hi Nicole,

Both of your dds rooms look beautiful. My ds is 18 months and we have not transitioned him yet to a big bed but planning ahead. I think that you have bed rails in you 2 1/2 yr old dd's room and I was wondering what exactly you used so I can look it up. Thank you.

Hello! Actually I found out about this product from the toddler bargains board, it's called the snugtuck pillow. It is a mom made product, not a large company by any means! I am really happy with it so far. DD fell out of her bed once, but that was because she decided to lean over and get something off of her nightstand. I like that you can get slipcovers for the pillow to match your bedding/decor.

Some of us have trouble with text files (txt files), but when you add your attachment, if you can check the jpg box (if your file is a jpg), that makes it much easier to open and view. Just a thought.

We moved our son into his big boy room when he was nineteen months old too and this is what it looked like then and now (except for some of the toys). I had the paintings done by a seller on ebay and she did some fabulous others to match our dd's room (pictures which I'll post later in the completed nurseries thread).

I have a few questions for you (love your rooms!!).
Is the rug in the little girls nursery from poshtots.com
You said the letters are from "tiger444" on ebay-can't seemed to find any products from past or now...am I searching incorrectly?
Ever thought of selling the painted letters on ebay-they are beautiful!!

Thanks for sharing your beautiful rooms!!

NewMamaBear - Not the PP, but I ordered the same letters for my DD's room. The seller you are looking for is tigger444 (two g's).

Here's the link:

Here's Jack's new bedroom (he's more of a preschooler than a toddler, but still--it's his first "big boy" room after the nursery).

We still have to add finishing touches (change accessories to match new colors, add a music lamp, etc.) but this is the basic idea for a boy who loves music.
