i need help finding a boy bedding set that doesn't include sports or cars or snoopy or any characters of any kind really or jungle safari animals. I am convinced this new baby is going to be a boy and I can't seem to find anything i like. I also dont think i woudl like a plain blew nursery. i think i am driving myself crazy. I need to find a set i like or at least a decorating theme cause we need to choose paint colors soon so we can get painting. any ideas?

My husband and I had similar thoughts. We immediatley ruled out characters. We are huge sports fans but thought it would be better as a toddler room and not nursery. I loved some of the dots/stripes or as my husband called them "art deco" themes, but didn't think they made the best nursery for a baby. We decided on the PBK ABCs. We are doing the decorating in primary colors and simple pictures that I friend is painting of the various items on the quilt. Just an option.

I saw an adorable boy's nursery that was stars and moons. They painted the bottom of the wall yellow and the top (above the chair rail) blue with stars. It was so incredibly cute!

We went with primary colors/bears for our daughter's room, but that would also be good for a boy as well. It's bright and cheery, which I love!

There are some cute sets at Overstock.com right now:

ANother idea is to get solid color bedding seperates and use a theme on the walls and in other decor. I really wanted an airplane theme for DS' room, but we got him a mini-crib and the bedding choices are limited. I'm doing airplane accessories and solid bedding to complement the colors.

we got the PBK bright stripes bumper for DS#2's crib and the twin quilt for DS#1's twin bed! It worked out great. The bumper is essentially assorted squares of striped patterns in red, blue, green, orange, khaki etc. We had already gotten DS#1 the surf sheets for his twin bed so we bought a crib sized one as well.... we also had sheets from #1 in fish and a space pattern and all the sheets work well with the bumper!

There are some cute patterns at Baby Gap too

I just got the Garnet Hill catalog and they had a really cool solar system quilt and sheets, if you're into stuff like that.

check out www.rosenberryrooms.com

Admittedly, it's way out of my price range, but I'm not a big "theme" person either and I was drooling over almost all of these sets.

I would take a look at <www.javisdavis.com> they have a lot of fabrics to pick from and because it's custom, you can leave OUT the theme stuff. Just tell the designer what you want and she'll help you.
