painting a mural-sort of

Hello!

I usually lurk around here for all the creative ideas, but now I am need of some advice. We are moving DS to the big boy room any day now, and I we need to get painting! His room will be construction themed and I am thinking of painting 2 or 3 construction signs around the room. I was wondering if anyone had advice or suggestions for how to do this. I was thinking of using a projector-has anyone done this? How well did it work?

I also searched some old threads and got some info on transfers and stuff, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

I used an AV overhead projector to do this in my son's first nursery. I simply copied the images onto transparencies at Kinko's, rented the machine, and then positioned the images on the walls. I used a pencil to trace the outlines of each image, then later filled them in with paint.
