I searched the archives forever and was sure I would find a little girl's room decorated in the oh-so-trendy theme of pink & brown, but I had no luck.

I commissioned my mother in law to make a quilt for my daughter using Michael Miller pink & brown fabrics and it turned out beautifully. We will be redoing her room sometime in the next year and I am looking for ideas based on this color scheme.

Anyone have ideas or pictures to show, or know where i can find some?

Thanks!

I love looking at apartment therapy nursery. Here is a link to a pink and brown room, more of a hot pink though. They lean toward modern design but you can get lots of ideas even if that isn't your style. Check out all the nursery tours there.

Here's a picture of the quilt if that helps anyone come up with some ideas for me. :)

Beautiful quilt!! I think it would be easy if you just made matching curtains and bought crib sheets in a similar color.

I'm actually looking for wall/paint ideas rather than more textiles. I have solid sheets and curtains, so i just need to figure out a creative wall scheme. Was thinking of wainscoting the bottom half or doing a two-toned brown and pick paint scheme.

I like to look on HGTV.com. They have a section called rate my space. It's fun to see how others decorate and they have sections devoted to girls rooms, boys rooms and nurseries.

Your quilt is beautiful.

Ooh, I love the quilt!

I like the PBK catalog for decorating ideas. Here's one in pink and brown:

We did a pink and brown room! Here is a photo of the crib (w/bedding) and glider/rocker we used, and the 2nd photo is of our dresser.

We haven't decorated the walls or anything yet but you get the idea. It's a very very small room.

Oh, and you can't really tell but there are two shades of pink on the walls. They're similar but you can tell they're different if you're in the room.

This is off the subject, but I love your glider. What kind is it?

I LOVE your set up!! Is that Babi Italia's crib? And what bedding line is that? I like it's modern shapes :)

I love your pink walls!!

The quilt is gorgeous-- very mod! Why not pick up on the polka dots-- as well as the pink and brown combo?

For paint-- you can do pink with brown circles-- or even brown with pink circles (for the brown, you may only want to do one wall as to not overwhelm the space-- or make it too dark)-- or even a medium pink room with white wainscotting and crown molding would be beautiful-- if you went this route, I'd recommend framing circles of coordinating fabric from the quilt in matching square, dark brown picture frames-- maybe a collage of 9 (hung 3 by 3) to keep everything graphic.
