View Full Version : Where to find big colorful braided rugs?

Hi, I am looking for a big braided colorful rug for ds's room. I would prefer the colors to be red, green, blue, and cream, since these are the colors of his room, but definitely not limited to those colors. Any ideas out there? I would need it either round or square, not rectangular. His room is pretty big with wooden floors (used to be the bonus room) so I'm wanting something that he could play on. I have looked at PBK but those are pretty pricey and they don't have big ones. TIA.

Susrprisingly, I actually found a really cute braided oval rug in the Sears catalog for DS's room. It wasn't really large but it was colorful, not pricey, and was easy to return if I didn't like it. I have also had some luck a while back at Pier One with some colorful rugs.

You might want to try http://www.capelrugs.com. I got a blue and green oval rug, about 5 x 8, and it's nice and soft.

Land of Nod has some nice ones too, but they may also be a bit pricey too.

Check out the rugs at llbean.com. I've been very happy with the Chenille Braided Rug (oval in "meadow") that we have in our family room. I'm not sure what color combos they have for their wool or chenille braided rugs currently, but I love ours.

We also have an LLBean Wool Hooked Rug in our living room and it's been great too. We have the "bright coins" pattern, but in a different colorway than the one currently on there. The one we have is predominantly blue, but the red one they have now has your colors in it. It's fun & colorful and might work - largest size is 8' x 11'.

I found some braided rugs on sale at Great Beginnings. The prices were a great deal compared to what I had been seeing locally. I bought one because it said it was reversible. I figured it was like getting two rugs in one! Good luck.
