I am a recent new mother( almost 11 weeks now). Erica at birth was 10 lbs. 7oz. and 21.5in. At her two month check, she was 13lbs. 12oz. and 24.25in. She has already outgrown all the newborn stuff, including the onesies and is about to outgrow the smalls. The problem is that she is very long in torso. She still has plenty of room side to side in them. I know somewhere I saw a panel that snaps into the crotch area of the onesies to extend the length. Do you have any idea who produces such a thing or where I might have seen this? Thank you for any input you have.

Hope, haven't seen that. Anyone else?

I found these extenders in the Perfectly Safe catalog. You can order them by calling 1-800-837-5437, the item number is 15711 for a 6 pack of garment extenders. The price is $10.95. They also list a website www.kidstuff.com where you may be able to find them.

Thank you so much for the information. After an extensive search for these on the internet, I was able to find them on 3 different web sites. The best deal I found was on The Right Start web site. The price there is 6 for $10.95, but I found a coupon for 15% off if you put the message mcard3 into the discount area when you check out.

One Step Ahead (www.onestepahead.com) has exactly what you are looking for. They came in a pack of 6 for $9.95. It says they add 3 to 4 inches of length and fits many different brands of clothing.

I was at Meijer's (B&M store -- similar to Super Wal-Mart) and found a package of 3, all the same length for $4.99. They were located in the baby aisle and were an off brand.

A Canadian layette maker, Baby's Own manufactures it. I found it at Macy's NY.
