Wipes Warmer- Am I missing something???

Is it me or do these things not work very well? I got one as a shower gift; I have a 2 mo old. I have tried Huggies and Pampers brand wipes in there. They all dry up into small Bounty type tissues. Is mine overheating or what? Am I missing something.

What kind of warmer is it? It definitely sounds defective. I have one from Dex and it works great - just warms 'em up. They don't shrink or dry out or anything wierd. I'd take it back and exchange it.
