Hats and Mittens

What kinds of hats, mittens and other winter gear does anyone like? My dd tends to pull hats off, hates when I cover her hands but we live in NYC and it gets pretty cold here. Thanks!

My DD is the same way. The only hat she tolerates is a base ball hat from Old Navy, which makes her look like a little boy.

I got a pair of thumbless mittens from Lands End that are about 3 inches long with elastic at the end. That means I can put the mittens on first and then her coat. No pulling off! And if her hands are covered, she may not be able to get the hat off ;) As far as the hat goes, have you tried different styles? Maybe a bucket-type summer hat would work, or she'd tolerate a hooded jacket.
