View Full Version : Desitin Creamy vs Desitin
I just bought a tub of Desitin because I thought it would be less messy touse then the tube. I just realized that the tube says "creamy" and is 10% zinc and the tub is 40% zinc. Is that meant only for use on diaper rash instead of regular use? I have been using several times a day but I don't want to overdo it!!! Is something like the clear A&D gentler?

LOL - we're a big fan of the Walgreens brand of Desitin (the 40% zinc stuff). It is unscented, unlike Desitin, so gentler on Colin's tushie.
I don't like the Desitin creamy because it comes off so easily. My ped says that you can use regular Desitin daily, although we now just use it about once a day plus when we are expecting a poop.

We use Walgreens brand of A&D. It's 3.99 for a 4 oz tube and it doesn't have ANY ODOR. I hate the stink of regular A&D ointment, and we don't like the white/zinc lotions. We looove this A&D from Walgreens--beware, though, you can only find it in the first aid aisle, not with the baby stuff!
