I've started scoping out the shoe scene and learned an interesting tidbit today. According to a shoe salesman at Sears, the TKS brand shoes are manufactured by Stride Rite for Sears. Sears also carries Keds. However, at my Sears store, the selection was pretty limited. The TKS shoes I saw were $20 (i.e. 1/2 the price of Stride Rites per se). I thought I'd pass that along for those on the shoe hunt.
