View Full Version : Is the Hanna Andersson shearling coat with bear ears too feminine for a boy?

DH is usually my barometer for this, but he is ambiguous on this one. Won't be ordering anytime soon since it is still HOT here, but want to have a coat picked out.

I just voted...I assumed this is the one? http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC%7C1%7C1%7C156%7C2%7C7%7Cf&scid=1MB5DKB5HS718NXG71LW2KE18FDS7D7D

It looks like a little boy pictured in the coat, too (he's in blue- that's why I thought it was a boy :))

You may want to add a link so everyone knows which coat you are talking about - very cute by the way! Looks like Julie and I were posting the same comment at the same time : )

Love the coat! It is perfect for a little boy. I might have to put it on my list too for my DS.

Wow--that is such a sweet jacket. I think it's perfect for a boy. I almost bought a hat exactly like it, except it wrapped around the neck and velcroed under the chin. It killed me not to get it, but it was too small.

BTW, Shannon, *how* hot is it there? We're going to be back in town for 2 days in a few weeks and I'm trying to figure out what to bring. It's cold, low 50s here right now. Let me know if you have any time/desire to meet for a coffee or the like.

Good luck with the coat!

I think it's fine for a boy.

I've had Anna out in pink outifts with BOWS in her hair and people still ask me if she's a boy or girl! Sheesh! You just can't win. It's enough to give a mama a complex...

I have thought about getting this for DS. I didn't because I wasn't sure it would be warm enough for winter (thought prob fine for Fall) and I was worried about the white getting dirty.

It's perfect! I want to get it for Ds, but for us I wonder if it would be too WARM.

tried to send you email but the page wouldn't show!

It is still pretty hot here, mid 80s during the day. I've reverted back to my pre-pregnancy thermostat so I am comfortable while DH is sweltering.
Would love to get together! My schedule is pretty flexible. Send me an email and we'll work out a tentative plan -- i'm at [email protected]

That's it. DH and my mom have, in the past, disagreed with other supposedly "unisex" baby clothes, so I wanted more opinions. I got a new winter coat (my mom took me school shopping!!!) that has shearling lining, so Jack will sort of match.
I loved the giraffe coat, but most of his clothes are in muted colors rather than really bright colors, and I thought it would be overwhelming.

I bought a similar one by Le Top (from Ebay). It is so cute!! Thank goodness for teddy bears, as it's about the only cute thing they do for boys clothing.

GAP had a coat just like that last year. I bought one for DD and I would wear it on a boy.

I actually just saw this coat at the Hannah outlet store and it is all boy. It does not look girly at all.
