Making baby blankets, burp cloths, etc

Now that DS is 4 months old I feel like I have a little more time and just dusted off my sewing machine. I would like to start making baby blankets, burpcloths, etc for DS and as presents...
Does anyone have favorite patterns, fabrics, etc...If I get good at it maybe I'll even start at craft fairs, who knows :)
Any help would be greatly appreciated...TIA

I sew quite a bit, and I have found that www.sewbaby.com has a wide variety of neat patterns and fabric, along with notions. There is even a pattern for one of the shopping cart covers, although it seems to be one of the skimpy ones. There are some other great fabric stores online for kids fabric. I will post some if you would like.
