Two Sear's have not had ANYTHING boy in size 18/24...zero...tons of selection up to that size, then skips up to 2t in toddler section. No one there seems to know the why's of it. I want to get a polo (which they seem to have NO infant sizes), a polo romper and possibly a sweater...but even the stuff I'm not interested in, does not go above 12/18.

Have you seen any 24m at your Sear's? Just curious...not looking for a shopper or anything. =)

Was just there today and could not find 12/18 or 18/24 in girls. Jumped from 6/12 to 2T.

When they were clearancing their summer stuff, I got bunch of boy stuff in 2T. I don't recall anything in 24mon or I would have purchased that instead! I've got three of the summer polo rompers(red, green, and blue) NWT in Jack's closet right now! Would be willing to part with one if you could make it to the SoCal get together! :)

Actually 2T and 24 month are usually similar sizes. You could try getting the 2T. Especially for the shorts rompers and onesies, it is okay to get it slightly long anyhow.

It depends on the brand if the 2t are cut big enough for diapers. I'd be all for getting a 2t if I had a 24m to hold it up to to make sure it's not cut slimmer...KWIM? I'll probably get the tops in 2T.

Thanks though.

I buy LE size 2T clothes for my 19 month old DS. They are not cut slimmer than the 24 months size. Diapers fit just fine. If anything I like the 2T clothes better because he has been able to wear them for several months now. All of his 24 month clothes are too short, but he has plenty of growing room left in his 2T's. HTH.

Just my two cents...

Thanks! Do you use cloth or disposable diapers?

I think most 2T (Lands' End included) are cut to include diaper room. These days it'd be pretty rare to find a child wearing a 2T who wasn't still in diapers. :-)

Thanks, both of you. THat was my thought about 2T until I bought something in 2T which was smaller than the 24 m and someone told me about the traditional cut differences.

FYI, here's their size chart...they don't do the infant & toddler sizes in the same way, so I can't tell by it. I think I'm just going to have to make the little guy try something on at the store. LOL! Normally, that goes okay, however he thew a fit when I would not buy him the cool Gap boots that were too small, last week. Oh how I wanted to get them for him after that (but I was strong).

Actually I think the T in the T sizes means toddler. It implies that there is supposed to be enough room for a diaper. So for example a 4 verus a 4T is the same except the 4T is supposed to have more room in the bottom.

But you're right, it may be good to hold the two up for comparison.
