what does a baby wear before the cord falls off?

Hi,

I am due in a few weeks, and was wondering what the baby should wear until the cord falls off. I think it will be too cold for onesies (I'm in NJ).

Onsies with another one piece romper or sleeper over it. The idea is that you don't wait the waistband of pants irritating the cord.

Sleepers and one piece playsuits or coveralls. When it's cold, go ahead and layer onesies under these items. I wouldn't use any pants until the cord is gone.

Nothing seemed to bother her cord much, although she didn't wear jeans or pants the first few weeks. Any one-piece outfit should work. It's not as delicate as you think it will be.
