anyone bought Lands' End shoes for new walker?

I've looked at the Stride Rites for this year, and nothing for a boy excites me.

Lands' End has some really cute bowling style shoes:

Anyone bought LE shoes before? How are they in flexiblity compared to Stride Rites?

I've never bought stride rites, but I do have a pair of girl's Lands' End mary janes and I really like them. :D The sole is pretty flexible, they're very nice leather and SUPER cute! IMO, their sizing is generous. :)

DS has two pairs of LE water shoes that he dearly loves. He was wearing Stride Rite "tennis" shoes before I found the LE one's on clearance. The water shoes are REALLY flexible. Now he won't wear his Stride Rites or Nike's or anything that is slightly stiff. I went to Sears to get him some LE toddler mocs for winter, but they were not very flexible. He wouldn't even try to walk in them. So, we went to Dillard's where to my suprise I ended up buying him Merrell infant/toddler shoes. They are SO flexible. DS loves them! They were $29. After paying $38 for his Stride Rites I didn't think that was too bad. If you're curious here's a link to an online site that sells the Merrell shoes.

I tried the Merrell sports mocs on DS a few weeks ago when I was buying myself a pair.

He crawled right out of them in thirty seconds. He wasn't even trying to pull them off...just crawling. *sigh*
