Okay, because of all of you ;) I placed an order from Hanna. (Hippity Hop jacket, with matching pants and tee)

I ordered it in 80, thinking it would be too large for right now but that it would fit within a few months. Now I'm wondering if I made a mistake, sizing "too big." I don't want to wait *forever* to dress her in that cute stuff.

I have a 4 1/2 month old who has fits well in 6-9's. 6-12'a fit but are roomy. She is around 17 1/2 lbs and approximately 26 1/2 inches.

If the sizing guide on the website is accurate, I may want a size 70.

Wy this is bothering me so much, I don't know! Maybe its the general lack of sleep?

(bless my husband, he just asked "Well do you want to get smaller sizes too?" Instead of just returning the larger. Good man)

I would definitely try and change that order! My DD didn't really fit in size 80 until she was around 14 months old. There is generally no need to order up a size with Hanna, especially if your child is at the low end of the height range for the size. It will be plenty roomy.

Thanks. That is helpful. I've emailed them, so we'll see.

I agree. My DD is six months old (27" and 18lbs.) and she wears 70s in Hannas with plenty of room to grow (I have to roll the cuffs on just about everything).

I do think you want the 70s since Hanna's generally run big. DS is 10 months and wears both. His 80s are still a little big, but not so big that he can't wear them (I just roll up the sleeves and waist). But he was 29 inches and 22 pounds at his 9 month checkup so he is pretty big. He has a size 70 zipper that still fits him quite well.

Thank you! Luckily HA customer service was able to change my order to 70's.

I would also agree with the 70's. My little guy is 28" and 18.5lbs. I just got my order of 70's and he has plenty of room to grow and then some.

For future reference, my son is just outgrowing his size 80's since he turned 2 years. The shirts actually still fit but the pants are getting short.
