Yikes! I realized today that I don't have a raincoat for DS. So - anyone have any leads on good deals? Before I start a search? Decent quality for a long skinny boy, not too fussy, bright colors if possible!

You know me, I hate paying full price! :P

TIA

Nothing there! The only 2 raincoats in Overstocks are for girls - one has frills, the other is floral. :( And the full price ones don't look that great either.

Found a great looking raincoat at Janie&Jack - but it's $48!!! Ouch! The one on sale is available only in 3-6 months. sigh. No luck at LLBean, OshKosh, Old Navy, Gymboree or Gap (online all).

I don't know what they have right now, but in the past Target has had some cute raincoats in toddler sizes. In the gardening section they usually have some fun rainboots as well. Not sure on the sizes of those however.

I know that these are probably too expensive, but you might be able to find them on sale in a local boutique or even try nordstroms!

I just bought some Ladybug boots for DD for next year for $5 at a store closing sale! FWIW, DS generally gets a flannel lined raincoat at Ross or TJ Maxx for about $15. HTH!

I got Ds a Kidorable one off of eBay recently.
The set was all seperately-purchased, but for less than I saw them at Downtown Disney. I also saw some on Nordstroms.com, bt one piece was missing. Her eBay ID is simplyatreasure and she had other themes as well. Her customer service was excellent.

He's adorable!! And the outfit's not too shabby, either! :) I love the raincoat. Didn't think of searching Nordstrom's online! Duh! And I might run over the B&M store - there's one 5 minutes from work.

The Dalmation one is soooo cute - but a little more than I can afford. I actually did go to our local Ross this past weekend, and didn't find anything.

Edited to add: YEAAAA!!! Found these at www.kidsurplus.com for $14.99.

Thanks for the pointer!

Oh Melanie,
So adorable! I broke down and ordered this set from simplyatreasure also. Didn't someone post a link to shopaholics anonymous recently? I may need to check in there. Thanks for the post!

LOL...I should, too. I thought I was crazy at first since it was already February, but now we've finally gotten our rain. I hope it will all fit him next year, but at least the umbrella will work for sure.

Also, for others, I saw a bunch of clear Gymbo whale ones on sale today (didn't even check the price, just made my routine visit to ask "Now, do you have this in boys? Oh, no? What a shame, it's so cute. Okay honey, let's go." *snicker*

BabyGap also has some Yellow ones on sale for $19.99.
