I love the layette line, it's very different than their usual lines, and I think it's nice they are offering different types of items in layette. The colours look gorgeous; I can't wait to pick some up tomrrow.

I am definately getting these two pieces:

Lemony Fresh is ok. I could take it or leave it. I think I will get one outfit: (My DH really liked the cardigan and the skirt).
I didn't really like Golf Pond at all, which is a goo dthing because my store won't be getting it.

I am going to save up for European Holiday! I might just have to look at the look book again, so I can drool over it!

SO what are you guys getting?

Imperia, you crack me up. You waited up to see these, didn't you? Being in Europe, I can wake up at a reasonable time and see the new stuff that they add in the middle of the night USA time. :) I'm browsing the new stuff now. :)

AAACK!! I'm SO tired of pink and green! Looks like another Gymbo sale I'LL be skippin'!

Okay, I've done a quick look and mostly, I'm just excited about the extra 25% off on the stuff that's already on sale. I'm trying to debate what I'm getting from the Flower Fields line, the Pineapple line (I LOVE that line), and Splash.

As for the new stuff, I like these:

http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040514_LOAD/1536-0078_main_33b3b.jpg

and of course a hat to go with:
http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0203-0044_main_330ab.jpg

and socks to match:
http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0250-0167_main_330e7.jpg

I think the Jardin Fracaise line is just okay for me. It's cute, but I've seen other clothing in Toile patterns (Babystyle) that I like a little bit better. However, this hat is to dye for:
http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0861-0029_main_335f1.jpg
AND I do LOVE this sweater coat:
http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0811-0025_main_33583.jpg
Which I supposed would be best paired with the dress:
http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0833-0048_main_335c9.jpg

Okay and after looking at those three pieces together: the dress, the hat and sweater coat, YEAH, I do love them all. I think I may have to wait for a better sale on those though.

Wow, there are SO many different lines available right now it's overwhelming. Like I said, I'm focusing on the sale stuff from Splash, Flower Fields, Pineapple and maybe even the Stars and Stripes line. Can't beat that extra 25% off. Plus, why the heck not...I can earn some more Gymbucks.

And one final comment. I'm sorry, but Gymboree's boy clothing designers are AWFUL. I hope that doesn't offend, but as usual, the new boys line does nothing for me.

Just out of curiousity, what colors are in the European line that is coming out?

Oh my God, it's so awful. I think each line gets uglier.

The layette (Cote Francaise) is boring. And the Skate Pup is truly atrocious. I mean what's up with that track jacket? This is hideous:

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/6787.jpg

And why are there two new girl lines and only one boys?! ARGH!!!!!

And just as a picky note, but I'm not sure any of their French is right. I assume the layette line is supposed to be "The French Coast." It's been a long time since high-school French, but I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be an accent (^) over the "o" and NOT one over the "e." Anyone want to confirm that for me?

Yep, I just checked. I think it should be "Co^te Francaise." And Jardin is masculine. So it should be "Jardin Francais" for the girls line, right?

I'm off to place a Hanna order...

I would love to get the entire Jardin Française line but I know that I would probably end up in divorce court if I did. So, I think that for sure I'll get the countryside one piece and pants and see from there.

For some reason, I'm not hating the Skate Pup line. It's not perfect by any means but at least they tried some new colors this time. I actually like that track jacket. The line is definitely retro! I will pick up a few items today since I have my $10 certificate to spend (VISA) and DS's grandmother gave him some items that need to be exchanged. I'll post what I pick!

Jenn, hope I didn't offend you. We've all got different tastes, you know? I guess I just had to wear that kind of stuff as a kid in the 70s and don't want DS to wear it. I haven't seen it IRL though, so I might like it a little better. But really, I just think that I'm a Hanna gal (and DS is a Hanna guy). :)

Here are my favorites:

I like the colors in the Golf Pond line.

I love this dress.

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/6788.jpg

This outfit is really cute as well.

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/6789.jpg

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/6800.jpg

From Lemony Fresh, I love this shirt.

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/6793.jpg

I adore these pants, although I don't know how prudent it is to buy pants for the summer in the south.

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/6794.jpg

It may be more practical to buy this skirt to match the shirt.

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/6795.jpg

From the Jardin line, I fell in love with this outfit, but I am so sad because Eva needs an 18-24 month for Fall and this line ends at 12-18 month. Is it silly to mourn something you never had? :-)

Well, overall, these lines are just okay. Our air conditioner is broken and the repairman can't come til this afternoon. So since it'll be in the 90s, we'll be heading over to the mall for some A/C! LOL! Soooo, of course I'll have to go by Gymbo and pick some things up. :)

I think the older boys line (Skatetown) is okay. For once I actually like it better than the baby boy stuff! There are a couple of pieces that I like. I will probably get:

http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0405-0038_main_332c7.jpg

to match with:
http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0432-0072_main_3335d.jpg

I HATE both the girls and boys pajamas this time!!! Yuck, yuck, double yuck. I've been beyond disappointed with Gymbo's pj selection this spring/summer. They are usually my main pick. :(

From the Lemony Fresh line I like:
http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/1528-0168_main_3382b.jpg

maybe with:
http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/1536-0080_main_338d5.jpg

I also like the old-fashionedness of this:
http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/1543-0091_main_3391b.jpg

I know that this is a transition line but it is so blasted hot here for so long (until early October) that I won't be putting her in too many pants that still have a summery pattern/theme to them. I like the scalloped jeans and all-over print flares in this line and *might* get one outfit for late summer/early fall.

I like the Golf Pond line but the colors are so similar to SD. :( I might get this dress:
http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/1543-0094_main_33939.jpg

I just feel so-so about the Jardin Francaise line. I was anticipating really loving it based on descriptions but seeing it now I think I won't be buying it out. My favorite pieces are:

http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0831-0047_main_335b5.jpg

http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0803-0053_main_33565.jpg

http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0821-0032_main_335a1.jpg

I'll have to see it IRL to know if I really like it or not. Another thing about the layette lines is AG is in a 12-18 now (still a bit big) so buying ahead for fall might not work. :(

So, there are pieces I like but no one line that just bowls me over. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the European Vacation line. :)

What are your thoughts on this? Do you gals think that Francais dress is going to sell out in certain sizes quickly? I HATE waiting for stuff to be on big time sale and then missing out because it's sold out. This happened to me with the Easter line this year. I waited and waited to get the yellow polka-dotted dress AND the Lavenender Fields dress, and then when I went to get it, the yellow one was GONE and the LF dress wasn't available in the sizes I would have taken.

SO, I am wondering if I should go ahead and get the dress and I MUST have the hat (imagine that) now at 25% off, so that I don't risk it selling it out later when the regular markdowns occur. Plus, the first round of markdows is usually 20%, so at 25% off, this is actually a better deal. Right? Logic?

I like some of the items with the Turtle, the purse is really cute! LOL....but again too much white! I keep telling them white is so difficult to keep fresh & clean.

Boys line wise, first thing that came to mind ..was that 70's show :P I was all happy when i heard the word "dog" ds loves dogs..but the skaterpup was not quite what i had in mind, not sure what i had in mind but that again wasn't it :o

Oh maybe an in person look, will make me feel better?...good thing elder dd looks good in yellow?

but why are some of the turtles upside down? i feel like their in one of those games where they have fallen over and i picture their legs moving..i've fallen & i can't get up!...yeah i'll stop now ;)

I think they might be gone by the time they are marked down below 25% again. Just a hunch but the Layette line is generally smaller and lower quantity so it goes faster if it's popular.

Sigh. Once again the cutest stuff does not get translated into the Big Girl lines. Grrrr....

I love the Golf Pond accesories. The Turtle Clutch and ponytail holders have my name all over them! But the clothes don't float my boat. The pink stripe dress is cute, but I prefer the turtle accessories, and of ocurse the accessories I like have the turtle!

From Lemony Fresh, I love the knit dresses and the hair accessories are good too. :)

And how pathetic is it that I am now planning wardrobes around hair accessories and purses?????

Ugh.....once again the baby girl lines are so much cuter than the big girl ones. I won't be buying Maki anything (which is okay since she doesnt need it). I may buy Connor the jeans from the Skate Pup line but thats about it. I was really hoping to like more from that line since my older 2 boys love skateboarding.....it just looks too old for Connor.

yuck, yuck and yuck!!!

If the layette line went up to 18-24months I'd buy some pieces from there, but since it doesn't, I won't be buying anything. too bad, I have a $60 credit that I need to use up, guess I'll spend it on my best friend's baby, when she finds out what she's having!

I'm on my way to the mall in just a few minutes to see the new lines IRL, but overall I'm not seeing much that I HAVE to have. DD#2 already has so much this year in yellow so Lemony Fresh doesn't appeal to me too much. For DD#1, I might get the striped dress from Golf Pond (and may get the matching dress for DD#2). As for the layette line, I think I'll end up getting the print dress or the pants and long sleeve shirt. I won't know for sure until I see it in person!

I have yet another sizing question for you. Are you planning to buy 18-24 for AG for the fall/winter? My daughter fits perfectly in 6-12 or 9-12 right now. I did buy some 12-18 for the summer too. I figured that I could use it in late summer and some of it looks okay a little big anyway (although it fits differently than intended). So, I'm thinking that 12-18 might fit her best in the fall and then 18-24 in the winter. What are you thinking? My big dilemma right now is whether or not to buy some of the layette line in 12-18.

Thanks for you opinion!

I am just thrilled! I Love Pinks and Greens together! I have a feeling that this line is going to be like the Tip Toe Line, we own most of it!

I also am a HUGE fan of toile patterns so I am in Heaven right now. I love so many of those pieces for this Fall.

Be back with my top picks to post. I am just Too Excited this morning! It's about time.

*I am also Really Happy that I did not place a huge Janie and Jack order this week. Alot of these colors are similar to what I was drooling over there.

We are going to the mall today to check everything out. The things I like sometimes change when I actually see them. As for right now, these are the things I'm most interested in:

http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/1528-0192_close_3384f.jpg

with this skort if it is still at Baby Gap

http://www.gap.com/assets/product/big/bg235545-00b.jpg

That's about all that I see that I really want from the new stuff. I'll check out the sale rack. I'm not wild about the layette line and I don't know if it would fit when I would need it anyway. It is a knock-off of Baby Nay's fall line and I will probably buy the Baby Nay. A lot of Gymboree is obviously inspired from other designers. The Floral Pallet line was a knock-off of the Little Mass watercolor line this past Spring. In this case, I liked Gymbo better as I am not a Little Mass fan.

No offense whatsoever! I'd love to be more of a Hanna Gal myself but it's so pricey! IRL the lines are pretty close to online though the colors are a bit softer IRL. I actually think I liked the clothing better online I'm sad to say. The actual dog ruined it for me. He's kind of creepy! I did buy a few items: the short sleeve shirt w/the attached striped sleeves, a couple of rhino items + the tank bodysuit from surf school...not terribly exciting!

HI Marie!

I am unsure about which top to get right away. I love this one:

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/6808.jpg

but I am concerned about 2 things: one will it really match that well since it's striped and two, it's supposedly a swing top which means it might cover up the pretty belt detail on the pants.

SO I might get this one:

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/6809.jpg

Also, my store is a teeny little Tier 4 so it depends on what they have in stock (they usually get most of not all of a layette line, but sometimes they get them late).

The sad thing is, I am almost more excited to go in and look at the look book again; isn't that just sad?

ITA...Ugh! What were they thinking? I like DS in navy but where exactly do these designers live? Who needs a corduroy pea coat and a sailor sweater IN JUNE!?!? By mid June it won't get below 80 even in the dark of night.(I'm in Kentucky--not quite the South, but not quite the mid-west either!) I have to believe only a small fraction of the far northern states and mountain areas might actually have a use for those items in the summer...

Skate Pup is way too retro for me...should I stick a little comb in DS's pocket too? I'm having bad flashbacks to my days at the skating rink...

Blech! I'll save my money and send it to Hanna!

Actually, I live in the west so it was only midnight when it came up online, and that's not really late for me. My DH was on call last night and he had an emergency so he had just gotten back about 5 minutes before they put up the new lines (he likes to look them over with me hehe).

Angela,

you don't even like JF? I know you will be needing layette lines soon =P

I agree with you in general though, I am not loving the pink, green and yellows. LF is so much like leapin lily pads but it doesn't have the cute froggies! I mean the pink gingham shortalls are SO similar to the ones from LLP but they have limes instead of froggies!

That is why I am saving up for EH, or Bon Voyage Poodle as I call it lol!

I am really unimpressed. Just not that tempted by anything (except the adorable layette pants and tee, but 12-18 is not going to work for Mia this fall). I thought I'd love the pink/yellow stuff but it just doesn't do it for me. I do like that striped dress from the Golf line, but unless it is really marked down, I think I can pass on that too. She has a pretty similar one in aqua from RL.

We are in a Gymbo slump - I only got one outfit from Splash (the hibicus top and bloomers) and one from Candy Apple (the navy gingham halter, hat and bloomers) - after I practically bought out vacation time and tip toe and went pretty nuts on strawberry patch and sunshine daydream. But, I have a feeling I'm going to love European Holiday, so probably better not to be buying now anyway!

Oh, and I totally agree that the boys stuff is hideous. And I like retro, but those colors and designs - UGH. (Sorry if you like it, just not my taste.)

They actually changed it online hmmmmm:

It's now: Jardin Francaise-French Garden (which is still incorrect, because Jardin is masculine and Francaise is feminine, it also needs a cedille under the c but I don't know how to make one). I assume they did that to make it look "more" french even though it's not correct.

As for the boy's line name: Cote Francaise: French Coast does need a circonflex over the O and not an accent aigu over the E (that would make it sound like Cotay!). Co^te is feminine though, so I suppose Francaise is appropriate here.

See, I knew my 5 years of French would come in handy one day =D

Imperia, I am in a bitchy mood today so I just e-mailed Gymbo customer service.

I told them it should be "Jardin Français" and "Côte Française."

That's what I thought, so I'm glad someone else agrees with me. Sheesh. It's not that complicated. Guess AP French is now coming in handy, huh? ;)

What did it say earlier?

I just returned from my Gymbo. I was a very good girl. For sale items, I got a pink SD shirt, pink polka dot bike shorts (both for next year), a hula print nightgown (Gymbo's slicky nightgowns are her FAV), and some thick winter socks from the candy line.

From the new lines, I got Ellen the JF pants and swing shirt plus the socks. I totally forgot about the hat and think I need to go back for it. I got size 12-18 which is what she is wearing now. I am hoping it will still fit her in 3-4 months--ACK!

And that was all. I had total self-control over the GP stuff, and did get to see the look book to check out the vacation line. You gals were right--it is awesome!!

There are coats in the layette lines because they are fall transition lines, they aren't really summe rlines anymore. I know that's a little strange because it's not June yet, but fashion tend sto come out much earlier now. June at Gymboree will be another transition line and then July is Back to School!

ROFL Susan!

The girl's line (if I remember correctly) was being called "Jardine Francaise" (please excuse my lack of proper accents, as I don't know how to make them on this keyboard). So, they were femininizing Jardin, which is silly becaus eit's a masculine noun!

WTG for emailing Gymbo, let me know what they say. I am dying to know if they mispelled it in their Canadian stores as well. I can just see the French Canadians being up in arms!

And people told me French class was useless, how wrong they were. LOL

Just saw the Stake Pup IRL - it's HIDEOUS beyond belief!!! Can you say UGLY?

I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt - I'm such a sucker for dog themed stuff, that I even broke my cardinal rule and paid more than $10 for a shirt from Dog Park (?) that DS wore exactly twice before out-growing. But I wouldn't put these clothes on him if I got them for free. What were these designers thinking? If they were, that is . . . .

The other boys stuff looked so bad - worse IRL than online - the colors practically triggered a migraine. I'm sticking with LandsEnd from now on.

If you HAVE to have something from the new layette I would buy it now. You are getting 25% off plus Gymbucks. The first markdown is generally 20% so it's actually less than you would be getting now. I have a sneaking suspicion JF will sell well because it's so different and toile is often popular. My bet is that the pants will go first so if you want those (or the toile dress) I would get those first and wait on the rest.

I agree that the boys' lines are just awful. I really rarely even glance at them anymore because I can find such cuter things for less on sale at Gap and Lands End.

I'm rather nonplussed by the new girls' lines as well. I may buy one of the turtle dresses just so I can get the barrettes and purse to match :). I took a peek at the book the other day and have to say I probably won't be buying much from the new take on Bon Voyage - I would adore it but for the purple.

Your french comment reminds of a pet peeve I have with my local day spa. The name was originally Casal's, named after the owner's mother's maiden name. When it was revamped it became Casal's D'Spa which drives me nuts. I suppose they think it's a take on "day spa" but I just can't stand how incorrect it is, LOL! It should be Spa d'Casal's if anything, right? Ok, back to your regularly scheduled program :O.

*waaaaaaah* <cry> <cry>

Aine's moving into 12-18 right now. I doubt she will still be wearing it come fall.

Finally, I LOVE a layette line and she won't be able to wear it?
I usually can't stand the layette. (Though AIne's two grandmas like them, and so we occasionally wear a layette outfit.)

I am getting a few things from JF and GP - I'm a sucker for reptiles, fish, bugs, dinos, etc on clothing. I am also getting a few things from Candy Apple and Splash with the extra discount. I LOVE Jardin, but I agree: the boys line is so gross-o! I was kind of digging the track outfit for about one minute, until I saw the matching canvas sneakers - BLECH!! No can do, even though DS adores dogs.

But I need to whittle down my cart so it's not insanely expensive. I still want to get GBs for what Imperia makes out to be an adorable fall line.

Sigh...I'm sure DH wanted another little boy for this exact reason!!! :D

I LOVE the Lemony Fresh line. I've found a few pieces we have to have from it. The golf line is OK, but we can do without it. And Jardine Francaise is also just OK. So, it looks like we'll be picking up a few pieces from Lemony Fresh and saving/waiting for European Holiday! :)

Well, I have to say the extra 25% and the new lines got me motivated to attempt my first trip to the mall with both girls! It went well, except I bought nothing from the new lines. :( 25% off with 8.25% sales tax is really no bargain for me. :(

I still have to think about what I am getting, but I love the following:

For Sabrina:

I count not agree with you more -- yuck, yuck, yuck! Made me think of middle school gym class back in the late 70s/early 80s and I so do not want to go there again <lol>.

Except for several of the rhino pieces from Summer Sports I really didn't like anything from that line either and Stars & Stripes is pretty 'blah' too -- last years line was much better IMO.

Cote Francaise is ok, but nothing special -- the girls line (Jardin Francise) has some cute pieces in it, but of course I only have boys.

If they can't make cute stuff for boys, why don't they just focus on girls clothing instead of making us suffer through hideous colors and way to many stereotypical 'boy' lines!!!

That being said, I did manage to earn 2 Gymbucks today scouring the clearance racks for pieces from Surf School & Island Backroads, as well as the rhino pieces which I thought were too cute to pass up.

I hope there will be something more inspiring out by the time Gymbuck redemption comes around -- otherwise my friends who have little girls will be happy to spend my Gymbucks.

It's so fun to virtual shop!

So will the new lavender BV line be out in time for gymbucks redemption? It sounds fabulous. I want to buy the JF pants and striped top for sure but if the new line won't be out in time for redemption then I'll wait on the JF.

So many decisions, so much planning. :0)

I have all 12-18 clothes for summer and some of them are really a bit large. I am figuring that she'll wear the 12-18 in the early fall (through when it starts to really cool down...mid-late October?). For this winter, I bought some things last winter in 18-24 and that's probably what I'll get more of. I just bought the Jardin one-piece in the 12-18 and it's huge! She still needs to grow a couple of inches for it to not be too long! That's good since I'm planning to use it for early fall. :)

Imperia, the striped top is definitely *not* a swing top. It's straight with a lettuce hem. I debated back and forth because I loved the top and the pants but I thought that together they were pretty busy. I ended up getting the top to match up with some jeans or khakis later in the season. Hope I made the right decision! The other shirt you showed looked really cute with the pants. So I ended up with the striped shirt and the toile one-piece (I'm a sucker for one-pieces :) ).

I went out today and bought the short-sleeved brick toile romper in the layette line. I got a size too big so hopefully it will work out perfectly this fall when the weather turns to long-pants weather. I love toile, so I was really excited about this line. As much as I thought the hat was absolutely gorgeous, it just seemed a bit much to dress her from head to toe in toile, so I passed on the hat. It would look darling with the pants though!

I checked out the look book. I must be in the minority here because the European Vacation line didn't do anything for me. I really didn't see anything I liked. In fact, I wasn't too crazy about any of the new lines coming out. That's OK though. I spend too much money on baby clothes anyway, so it won't hurt me to stay out of Gymboree for a couple months!! :)

Gymboree is being sneaky! European Holiday (aka Lavender BOn Voyage Poodle) comes out BETWEEN Gymucks earning and redemption! It will hav been out for about 3 weeks BEFORE Gymbucks redemption. There will be a double discount for gymbo CC holders on June 19th (10% off) which isn't very much, but I might buy some then anyway, because I am willing to bet this line is going to be HOT (next year's little Hula Girl on eBay).

I'm part of that minority, too. Didn't like the sunflowers line and EV didn't knock my socks off, either. That's fine, though. I absolutely LOVED Splash, and we're set for summer now anyway. Funny, I never thought of myself as a Gymboree person until that line!

Just got back from shopping at Gymboree. I now own the Splash line. :) I earned 2 Gymbucks (bringing my total to 3). I didn't buy anything from the new lines.

I'm not sure if my store doesn't carry the Golf Pond or they didn't get it out yet. I did see the hideous bathing suit though.

There were a few cute pieces from the Lemony Fresh line that I liked, but nothing TDF. I agree with Imperia that it is too much like the Lilly Pad line, but without the cute frogs.

I did like the new toile layette line. I'll wait until gymbuck redemption. DD is in a 12-18 and it seems like they always have plenty left over in her size in the layette lines.

I hope they come out with something cute between now and redemption time.

This board is simply dangerous. Is it me or is the name of these board "baby bargains?" LOL...not when you have a support group like this to shop for clothes with. YIKES!

I just hit the sumbit button on my online order. It kills me that I have to only shop online, but I guess I should be appreciative that I CAN shop online from overseas. Anyway, I won't give the exact details, but let's just say I earned myself THREE Gymbucks after I hit that submit button. Ya see, I have to make it worth my while when I order because I pay shipping. Then again, I don't pay any sales tax, so I guess it all works out.

I do feel like I got alot of Gymbo for my money thanks to this sale. I've always been turned off by Gymbo prices (especially on the brand new stuff), but with the extra 25% off the stuff already on sale the clothes were really worth it. From the new line, I got:
http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0801-0028_main_33547.jpg http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0821-0032_main_335a1.jpg http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0803-0053_main_33565.jpg http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040507_LOAD/0861-0029_main_335f1.jpg
I was debating waiting for this to go on sale more, but then I chickened out because it appears that this line might be pretty popular and I don't feel like watching the sizes online disappear before my eyes. As it was, some pieces from the older lines that I did have in my shopping bag earlier today DISAPPEARED throughout the course of the day!!

Pina Colada was a STEAL with it being 40% off and then 25% off. I didn't hear lots of raves about this line, but I personally LOVED this line. And I added the striped pants and the white zip sweater at the last minute because I just LOVE newborns in white and since they are not eating messy foods or crawling yet, they stay pretty neat looking in white white.

My outfit of choice from Splash includes:
http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040330_LOAD/1536-0063_main_31add.jpg http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040330_LOAD/1530-0060_front_31a6d.jpg http://a116.g.akamai.net/7/116/2088/infinite/www.gymboree.com/media/images/products/20040330_LOAD/0203-0035_front_3117b.jpg
And I am leaving the tags on all of these in case this is a small baby and she doesn't grow into this very summery outfit before it gets cold again here in Germany. I could have went nuts with this Splash line, but since the sizes start at 3-6 and my baby is being born in June, I was afraid to buy too much in size 3-6 months and then have it get cold here.

I also went ahead and bought the Flower Fields Cardigan to match the Flower Fields dress and hat I already have for next Spring/Summer, in size 12-18 months. I'm happy I got that for just a little more than half off because I've had my eye on it, but refused to pay too much for it.

I also got 4 things for my almost 4 year old, mostly some basic shorts and one shirt to match. PHEW! I spent some money, but this is really a great sale. Now, what to do with the Gymbucks?

Imperia

LOL Vicki!

I own almost the entire Splash line as well (only one dress and no Hibiscus stuff or sweater though), that is probably my favourite Gymboree Summer line ever--the colours are just so flattering and I love things to do with the sea (I grew up in a beach town). What is your favourite piece from Splash? I think mine might be the scalloped halter.

Golf Pond was Tier 1 and online only. Personally I am okay with that as it's too 80's pretty for me, and I am tired of that bright pink.

I only got one outfit from Lemony fresh which my DH actually picked out last night online lol. He wanted that cardigan in the worst way (for DD that is, not for himself!) If he was a woman I think he would collect cashmere sweater sets and know exactly how many he had! Is it me or is the LF line very sort of Lilly Pulitzer like? (Then again so was Leapin Lily Pads, and so is the New Flamingo line at Janie and Jack hmmmmmmmmmm).

I think the layette was the cutest new line as well. I bought a few pieces and might buy more when it goes on sale at more of a discount!

In between earnings and Redpemtion will be the European Holiday Line, which you will either love or hate. I still predict it will be the hot line of te season. Sunflower Fields (theback to school line) is with the exception of a few pieces, a fashion crime. I swear , it's that ugly...maybe the boy's lines designers did it!

I don't think there is one piece from the Spash line that I wouldn't buy. It is by far my favorite line since Folk Song. I think my favorite piece is the white and green deep sea a-line matched with the green bloomers.

I didn't realize Golf Pond was Tier 1. My store did have the swimsuit though. That's strange, huh?

I'm not sure if I'll like the European Holiday Line or not. The colors sound right up my alley, but I'm not into the whole french poodle, Eiffel tower thing.

LOL about the Sunflower Field line! But you just wait, you'll probably end up with several pieces!

Your email obviously worked, because I just noticed that they changed the French grammatical errors on the Gymbo website (although they left the 'e' on the end of 'Francaise' for Jardin Francais).

I also took five years of French and noticed that I made a typo in an earlier post (I typed 'Jardine' instead of "Jardin"). Ooops! My high school French teacher would be appalled. ;)

Why oh why couldn't JF go up to 3t!? I love it and my 3 year old would look so cute wearing it! Red is a great color on her :( I like some of the golf and a few of the lemon things, but more from the baby girls than from the big girls and since I need nothing for this year I could only purchase from big girls. I did get my 5 year old some great deals from the Island line and splash. SHe got every piece of hibiscus print I think-the swimsuit, the dress, the capri and top, the flip flops and the matching bag! Then I got some great silky pj's for both girls. My 3 year old got some Splash outfits. I wanted to get her the golf skort and top and a splash skort and top, but she's very thin and if it doesn't hav an adjustable waist forget it! I need to get to a store and try some of those pieces on her and see if I think they will work for us.

For Levi I bought a couple of the Rhino items for next summer and a few of the hawaiin shirts for next year. And I was able to get him a cute pair of monkey pjs. Now I think the skater pup is UGLY!! I have no idea what gymbo was thinking with that stuff!

For my older ds I got a few of the skater items that he picked out. At 7 he picks out what he'll wear and there were a few shirts that he liked. This is his last yer in gymbo:( Maybe they'll start making 8 and 9 in boys soon.

Well I did great on the already marked down items and with the extra 25% off I saved a lot! Too bad I had to order online though b/c my extra 5% only covered the shipping! Oh and I better like some of the lines coming soon b/c I have 6 gymbucks to spend!

Hi, Imperia,

Your tastes seem to be very similar to my own (DD has very fair skin and dark eyes, much like your darling Maddy)-- Splash was the very first Gymboree line that really pulled me in. I bought seven pieces of it when Gymbucks started, and yesterday picked up three more pieces. My vote for cutest outfit (a tough call!) is the scalloped halter/ fish bloomers pair.

That said, it makes me really worry about my pocketbook given your advance notices of EH! I love lavender. Wonder if I can hold off buying any pieces until Gymbucks redemption time rolls around...

HI Lena!

DOn't you just love that type of colouring? It's so striking on a baby. I think it makes their eyes look even bigger! Maddy says thank you for calling her darling =D

Splash is just gorgeous on pretty much all babies. And we own a lot of it too! I also love teh scalloped halter/bloomer set. I would like it more if the bloomer would stay on =D

EH is going to be HUGE, just wait. I am thrilled there is a non Easter line being done in lavender. I might buy some before Gymbucks and then either rebuy (and return) or buy bigger sizes at Gymbucks!

My store had the bikini from GP as well, and I have to say it's scary! It's lilke a fluffy watermelon hehe.

The only pieces I would buy from the sunflower line would be things WITHOUT the HUGE ugly sunflowers plastered all over them. There was a light blue tee with a bee on that seemed okay.

Thanks for your input. I'm thinking that she'll probably wear 12-18 months until close to Christmas and then 18-24 after Christmas. We'll see if she has any major growth spurts between now and then.

Once again we have similar tastes! I bought the pink striped gator dress for both girls and also got this outfit:

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/6902.jpg with
http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/6903.jpg

I wasn't really looking at the Lemony Fresh line very seriously, but my sister bought that outfit for her 2 month old. When she tried it on her, I couldn't believe how absolutely cute those bloomers are with the extra little ruffle. So, I tried it on my DD (in the 3-6 month size that my sister bought for her daughter) and it FIT! You would never have looked at it and thought it was too small. I decided I had to have that outfit and I went back today and tried it on her in 6-12 months and 12-18 months. The 12-18 months size was way too big so I bought her the 6-12 months set even though it feels so WRONG! I also ended up exchanging the reversible halter top in the Golf Pond line for a 6-12 month one. So, I'm thinking that she'll be in the 12-18 month size for the early fall at least!

Imperia,

I ended up buying the onesie with the pants. I preferred a long sleeve shirt, but I thought the striped tee was too busy with the pants. However, I ended up taking the whole outfit back. I didn't like how they looked on DD. I was expecting the fabric to be different (poplin, maybe) and I didn't like the floppy look of the cuffs rolled up. Oh well, I really like the toile so I may go back and get the dress.

I love that white blouse. It seems everyone has a large amount from the Splash line. For some reason my store has a ton of it left. I hope the "missing pieces" from DD's wardrobe are still around during redemption time.
