I posted here a few weeks ago re: finding an outfit for Joshua's 6 months pix. One suggestion was the bubble suit from Babystyle. I went ahead and ordered that, but now I'm not sure. I'm not sure if the colors work against his super fair skin, and it seems a bit, well, "bubbly". Do you think it's too big? Does he look like a girl in a skirt? I could move the buttons to make it shorter.

I am posting another pic of him in a navy shirt. Do you think darker (or brighter) colors just work better for him with his bright blue eyes and fair skin?

I've never had trouble picking outfits for pictures before. I think if I were SLEEPING more it would be easier to make silly decisions like these! If I got with the bubble suit for Joshua, I have the searsucker pants from Baby Gap and a navy blue colored shirt for Jack. I

Oh, I think he's suuper cute in the seersucker bubblesuit! I might move the buttons down, but I don't think he looks like a girl. What a lovely smile!

DD also has fair skin, but dark eyes, and I think dark colors tend to make her look too washed out. But that's a personal preference. I think you should go with your gut reaction.

Thanks for posting the photos!

I especially like the bubble for summer.. not only do I think it works better with his coloring, but I think the darker colors are a bit more wintery... whatever he wears, I'm sure he'll be absolutely adorable.. but I can related to the outfit-second-guessing (especially when planned pictures are involved)..
HTH!

My honest opinion: I love the bubble suit but the darker blue looks better on him. He is adorable either way! I prefer the bubble suit type of outfit for pics but maybe the colors aren't suited as well to him? There are lots of cute bubble suit outfits out there, maybe you could find one in a brighter, less muted blue. I don't like wearing t-shirts or casual clothing for pics. The times I've done that I looked back later and regretted not going ahead and getting something more formal. :)

These are all from Ragsland. I don't know about their availability or shipping but they are examples of cute boyish but still babyish outfits in a nice blue for him. HTH!

Thanks, all, for your honest feedback. Denise--I was kind of thinking along the lines of what you said--that something with just a little more color would be more flattering. I wasn't actually going to take him for the picture in the t-shirrt--had just posted that for an example.

Picture is scheduled for this afternoon, but we actually are going to be at Nordstroms meeting friends for an early lunch today, so I can always make a quick run through their children's dept. and see if they have anything.

It's cute! And remember, the photog will have professional lighting that will look beautiful. Our photog did ours on the overexposed side to ac****uate DS's fair skin and I think it looked wonderful.

I'll try to find a pic. Ok, have to re-size and baby is crying. I'll do it later :)
