...for a boy who is 29.5 inches tall? He's also very skinny. I wanted to buy the bold striped romper for summer but was not sure if I should get the 70 or the 80?

Thanks!

I would get the 80. My DD wears an 80 and was a hair under 30 inches at her 9m check-up. It fits her very well but is roomy for growth. Definitely not too big. HTH! :)

ETA: Here is Ellen in the romper, size 80.

I would get the 80, too. The 70 should fit him very well this summer, but he will definitely outgrow it this year. I got a size 80 playdress set for DD last summer (about your DS's height) and it still fits her this year. HTH :)

I agree with Maureen. Amy Grace is right around 29" and wears 80s.

I'm going to disagree with the others. Nathan is 29 inches and 19 lbs and is just now fitting into his 70's, the 80's were huge on him.

Gabe was 28.75" at his 9 mo., and he's wearing size 80's. They are a little big on him, but it looks fine. He might have a bit more of a belly though, he's almost 21 pounds.

Billy is 31.5 inches and 21.5 pounds. The 70's fit him perfectly right now, we have some 80's as well and they fit okay but you can tell they're a little too big.

Connor is right around 30 inches and wears the 80's. Id get that, that way it will last all summer

The 70s we have are still quite big on my DD who was 29.5in and 19.5 lbs at her one year check-up today. I'd think 80's would be huge for us- but then again girls may be different???

Annika was 29" and just under 20 lbs. at her 8-month visit and I got the 80. It's roomy, but not too much so.

For the bold stripe romper I'd go with an 80. Declan was 29 inches/20 pounds at his 12 month check-up in March and the 80s work for him. I'm sure the 70s would fit, but the 80s will fit longer.

The short zippers, he could probably use a 70. And I had to return his bunny overalls for a 70. In shorts/pants, he's a 70. His zippers are 80s with room to grow but do just fine.

Thanks everyone! I will try the 80 then.

Mariana, Maureen, both Gabe and Ellen look so cute in their rompers!
