When does my DD need her 1st pair of shoes?

Dear All,

I am new here!! It seems that people can get quite useful info here. I am a 1st time mom... DD is only 2 and 4 weeks old. I cannot wait for her to grow up! Just wondering when I should buy her the first pair of shoes. Should I wait until she's started to crawl or walk? Thanks a lot for your suggestions in advacne!;-)

I bought my son's first pair of shoes when he was crawling, standing & walking around the furniture. We went w/Shoo Shoos (like Robeez). Now that he is walking, I am getting his first pair of "real" shoes.

My boys didn't wear shoes until they were beginning to walk but something about a girl just seemed to call for shoes! LOL! Anyway, when the weather got cool and she started wearing socks, they kept coming off. So I bought a pair of Bobux/Robeez shoes and a pair of Hanna Andersson moccasins and they both worked out great. She didn't start wearing "real" shoes until she was walking.
