We recently tried a few Zutano outfits. DS loves them. He is obsessed with his "car shirt" and knit shorts. He wants to wear it all the time. The cotton is really soft, but I've noticed that 2 of the 3 outfits have begun to pill after just a few washings/dryings. Is this a brand that I can't put in the dryer without bad consequences? What's the secret?

Is that the white short-sleeved shirt with 3 cars on the front? We've got that one, along with the blue and white striped pants. I don't think it's pilling (I'd have to check) and I definitely toss it in the dryer all the time. I would have to say that I think their stuff is really hit-or-miss some times. Some of the stuff is really soft, and some isn't. And I think it runs small.

Do you have a fabric shaver? Those things you can get to shave the fuzz off your sweaters? YOu might try that if your son is very attatched to it.

The whole laundry thing seems to depend on so many factors: dryer, tyep fo washer, type of soap, fabric softner etc

I don't own any Zutano but I saw some at the CS and it looked pilly also.
