Now that everyone should be finished with their Gymboree shopping for the new lines (except for those waiting for Internet orders), I would love to see some pics of the babies in their clothing from the new lines! Please share! And I would love to hear what your favorite pieces are. I ended up returning the EH twirl skirt and navy beret because DH didn't like them. I also returned the sleeveless sweater because I couldn't figure out what else to put with it.

I can't wait to see pics of those beautiful babies!

I posted this below, but figured i would post them up here as well ..... here is Holden in the Powerwheelies Romper ... Ok, so the romper is not my favorite ever in the world, but Holden LOVES it and really, I don't think it's SO bad, though i do think the front graphic is weird. *sigh*

Here's pic #1 - full body shot ...

I tried to get a picture of Julia in her fancy new dress up clothes, but she wouldn't stop twirling around! Every picture is either blurry or the back of her. She loves her new princess "fancy" and her ballet outift. She even wore the ballet slippers to bed. We'll keep trying on the picts!

Okay took some pictures of DD in her new EH stuff. The pants were all too long, the dresses in general too large (but I want them that way since I bought it ahead). Here are the pictures I did get:

Oh oh - she looks SOOOOO cute that you're making me rethink this whole EH line. It's difficult for me to visualize what a baby will look like in some of these lines, but I can just tell that I'm going to be in trouble again...

Imperia,

She looks beautiful!! I bet you are so happy to finally have your hands on your EH items! When will your online order come? The jet set bag is so cute. I ended up buying it yesterday when I went in for my PA (along with a bunch of dress up stuff and the dress up case for my almost 4 year old).

She's not a baby anymore (sniff, sniff), but here's Kathleen in her Gymbo EH pieces. I discovered that the Strawberry Patch light blue legggings match *perfectly* with the light blue that is in some of the EH pieces. And since I didn't buy any EH pants, these--and the navy ones we will get from the new Sunflower line, and possible jeans--are what she'll be wearing with this stuff.

I was shocked they put her on the loop homepage! It's not even my favourite pic of her, but it is that cute Splash set!

It is sometimes very hard to know what they will look like on. I hate it when I buy something and then it looks funny on her. She is so slender I have to be careful. She looks best in dresses and one pieces. I hate that she is going to be crawling soon. We have so many dresses!

I agree about the lavender which is one of the reason I knew this was going to be the line for us.

Holden is the cutest boy, ever! Does he like hates in general?

Hehe she looks like she is trying to make one of her famous Maddy open mouthed smooches in the new icon =D She likes to grab me around the neck with both arms and press her gooey little baby mouth onto my cheek--that's how she gives kisses. I don't think she understand the puckering up part just yet.

She had so much fun dressing up, and she ADORES the hat. Which means she won't be ripping it off her head. Believe me, if she hates a piece of clothing--which isn't too often--no amount of begging or pleading, or bribing, will get her to wear it. :)

I would love to say that she picked out her outfit, but while Mommy was running around Gymbo, she parked herself in front of the TV with all the other little girls! :) She did like the dog on the Eiffel Tower and kept commenting on him all the way home. LOL

Maddy and Kathleen both look adorable. I love the berets especially and might have to pick one up if they're around and my dd will let me try it on. If not, I know she won't wear it.

Anyone have any pics of the jeans or striped pants with the long sleeved tee and any comment about how the pants fit? Thanks

All the girlies look so cute! I love seeing all the pics. I finally got around to taking some of Amy Grace last night. It was right after bathtime and she was sleepy and not feeling very cooperative. :( But, I think the clothes are really cute!

Navy pants, landmark onesie, and cardie (pants & tee 12-18, cardie 18-24):

I thought that both of these outfits were adorable! They both looked sweet on her (although she wouldn't keep the beret on and my store doesn't have the sweater one yet!). I always get the cardie in the next size up so it lasts longer. The pants and onesie are to wear in the early fall so they are in her current size. I bought the dress bigger thinking it would last all winter. I also have the jeans and the l/s eiffel tee but they are in 18-24 for winter and are too big to even try on! LOL!

Amy Grace looks adorable!

Now I'm worried about the sizes I bought for Julia, who, at ten months, is already 30" and 21lbs. She's currently wearing 6-12 or 12-18 months in Gymbo. I bought 18-24 in the cardigan, jeans, and Eiffel tower tee--but they are HUGE; I didn't even bother trying them on because I know they're too big for her. I wonder if I should have gone with 12-18? The EH stuff seems to be running bigger...

How big is Amy Grace? She's petite, isn't she?

Maureen,

She looks so cute in that outfit! I bought DD#1 the same outfit. Have you found that you like the Baby Girl clothes much better than the Kid Girl clothes lately at Gymboree? I can't remember the last line that I liked Kid Girl better.

Oh, BTW, that is not a dog on the top of the Eiffel Tower. It is actually supposed to be a bird. I know it's hard to tell, but a bird it is.

Yes, Amy Grace is on the small side. She is 13 mos now and weighs about 20 lbs and is 29 1/2". The 12-18 pants are still too big on her (length!). I have been buying 18-24 for winter but winter doesn't really kick in around here until November. I'm worried that the 18-24 are going to be too big for a long time but I don't think the 12-18 are going to fit for the winter. She is wearing 12-18 now but they are a little bit big on her.

AG looks so cute! She looks like she's having fun! Doesn't it frustrate you when she won't keep her darling hat on?

Can you share AG's stats again? I'm questioning a couple of my sizing decisions (particularly the sweater). Maybe I should size up on that one piece? But I had to roll the sleeves up several times in the 12-18 months size. Ugh!

Marie

parkersmama
06-21-2004, 02:58 PM
Marie, I just replied with her stats in the above post. :) I think the sweater sleeves were a bit long on her, too, but I will just roll them up once or twice. That's how we always do it since I generally buy them big. I didn't compare the 12-18 & 18-24 sweaters but I did compare the dresses. The 18-24 dress was just a tiny bit bigger in the bodice and about 3/4" longer than the smaller size. I figured those things wouldn't make a big difference now but might when she gets bigger and I still want her to wear it! :)

Denise,

Sorry! We must have been posting at the same time. That post wasn't there before!! Thanks for the info! My DD is a little smaller than AG, so I'm not sure what to do. I'll have to give it a little thought (like I don't spend enough time thinking about children's clothing!).

I haven't tried everything on yet, but so far I think the jeans run HUGE, striped pants/capris run normal gymbo pants size, the sleeveless sweater is running SMALL (I am very tempted to take mine back for a 6-12), the navy twirl skirt also seems to be running small, not tiny but smaller than their usual bottoms. The sweater dress seems fitted on top, but not short lengthwise. Knit beret small-average but the navy wool beret runs big. The knit tops seems to be running about right.

Thanks Marie! Oh gosh, you are right--it is a bird! Looking at it upside-down, I thought it was a dog. Too funny!

Jen,

I hope the 18-24 month size is the right size because Eva is 31 1/4 inches tall and 22 pounds and I also got the same sizes for fall! I got the dress, cardigan and sleeveless sweater and everything seemed to have plenty of room for growth. I am a little concerned about the sleeveless sweater being a little to short for fall though, but I worry if I sized up the sleeveless sweater then it would be longer than the cardigan and that would look a little strange I think. Any opinions? I think I may just keep the sweater and maybe get the skirt at redemption time so we can wear the sleeveless sweater now as well as later with the pants.

ETA - We don't have the jeans yet though, it sounds like those are running extra large. I may get them at redemtion though and I would probably get the 18-24 month size even though they are running large, better safe than sorry. :-)

Julia is 1lb heavier and 1/2" taller than Amy Grace, and her 12-18 items are still a bit big on her, too. But, I think it might be a good thing that I bought the EH pieces in 18-24, because she can wear them longer. It won't really be cold here until November, either. Thanks for your help! :)
