View Full Version : splash question - which goes better with fish bloomers?

I don't usually like to order things a year in advance because I so often mess up on the size, and I also just like buying things in season. However, the splash prices changed my mind!

So... for those of you who own these pieces, which splash top looks best with the fish bloomers?

Also, my DD is just barely into 6-12 month sizes now. That's what she's wearing, but they are a bit big. Does 18-24 sound right for next summer?

Thanks,
ann

Oops... meant to post the bloomers too, accidentally posted one of the tops twice. Here are the bloomers...

I can't help with the top choices (though I love the bloomers!), but it sounds like our babies are about the same size. Ava is also just starting to wear 6-12 -- some is huge, some fits pretty well. I have been buying clearance stuff for her for next summer in 18-24 month sizes as well if that helps. I am guessing she'll be in 12-18 for part of fall, winter, and possibly some of spring and then in 18-24 sometime next spring/early summer. At least I hope so!!!

I bought those bloomers as well. I couldn't decide which top, so I bought both of them. I think these two tops run small. My daughter is just turning one and she needed the 18-24 month. They are a little big but the 12-18 month just fit her and probably would not have lasted the rest of the summer.

Yes, 18-24 sounds about right - that's what Leah was wearing around this time last year, and now she's wearing 18-24 with room to grow. We bought the scallop top for the bloomers for this year, and it looks adorable!

I paired the halter top with the fish bloomers. They match perfectly and just look adorable together. I also have the reversible top for next year, but got the striped bikers to go with it.

We have the scallop top with those bloomer for next year. I think they both go, but I really like the blue in the scallop top.

Anna was also wearing 6-12 mos last summer and this summer wears 18-24 or 2T in some tops. If you look at Gymbo's sizing chart, there isn't that much difference between 18-24 and 2T. I think for a top you could get away with the larger size.

I prefer it with the scallop halter, but I think depends. I find it a bit too monochromatic with the green rev top, but that's just my taste.

I put it with this top

With the scallop top, the fish doesn't show.

Actually, my favorite with the fishie bloomers is this top:

This one has a flyaway back, so the fish on the bloomer peeks out. But that's my unsolicited advice! Of the two tops that you showed, the scalloped halter gets my vote. They are all cute choices, though!

This is the top I paired it with also. It looks absolutely adorable! Of the two choices you gave, I would go with the scalloped halter.

Thanks so much for all the input... by the time I went to place my order, they had sold out of the bloomers. :( Oh well... Naartjie should have their baby girl pics up soon. I'll just spend my money there instead!
