View Full Version : Naartjie pics - not sure I like some of it

I went to Arden Fair today and really looked at the Naartjie clothes for the first time. I just wanted to get a few sales pieces to try the stuff out. It's just ok - the fit is not that great. The waist on the dark pink pants is really wide. The elastic waist on the top was pretty snug, and I think it would bug my dd. (It would bug me, if I were wearing it.)

The second outfit is a better fit, but.... I think I'm having a hard time with the fact that some of the clothes look like something an older girl would wear.

Anyway, your thoughts?

First of all, Susan is adorable! Her beautiful hair is TDF!

I do not like the first outfit at all! The pants are cute, the color looks good on her, but I don't like the top.

The second outfit is very cute. Would that top possibly go with a longer pair of pants (legggings or florals?) that would last her longer into the fall? I think the 2nd outfit is worth keeping...the color is pretty on her!

Your DD is so cute!

I like the second outfit a lot and agree that if you could get a pair of pants/leggings (maybe the basic leggings?) to coordinate you could use the top into fall/winter.

I don't like the first outfit, though I do like the color. I got those pants to go under a pinafore and am returning them. And I'm not crazy about tops that seem to accentuate a little girl's waistline - time enough for that when she's a teen, lol.

I am so jealous you live near a store!

Best,
Mary

Thanks Denise and Mary for the kind words about my dd. I do love her hair - it's fun to play with :)

Yes, as part of my (or 'our') new pledge, 'only buy what you LOVE', I will return that first outfit and the light pink capris. I actually like the Holland Flower line, which is newer & not on sale, much better than the older stock. I'll wait and buy again when that goes on sale.

I would have loved to buy something for David, but the boy stuff just wasn't baby enough for me. Their baby boy stuff was darling, but only went to 12 months. The sales lady did mention that sometime in the future the layette line was going to go to 18 or 24 months, so that's good.

I have to agree that the first outfit just isn't doing anything for me. I almost ordered that shirt for Andie too, but was really hesitant with all of the gathering. I think the 2nd out is really cute on your DD though. She's a doll. I love the soft curls in her hair.
