Just back from Gymbo...here's what I got:

AWITW
Ruffle collar one-piece

JF
Red/white striped top

H&S
Multistripe sweater dress with 2 solid tights

CAAB
Polka dot cords
Striped hoodie
Cord buttom skirt
Striped sweater beret
Ruffle cuff pants in orange
Turtleneck in ivory

I really like some of the pieces from CAAB. The brown dot cords are my absolute favorite. So cute for fall. What can I say...I'm a sucker for stripes & polka dots! Her room is stripes & dots as well...although different colors.

Can't wait for this baby to arrive, so she can wear some of this stuff!

PS - How do you put pics right into the post without it being a link to an attachment?

>> Check this box if you wish to embed attachment URL in the message text box. <<

make sure the box next to the above is marked in the attachment window. That puts the url in the post but since it's an image, the pictures comes up.

HTH sounds like you got some great finds!

Well, because I really love these lines (which means I *am* sticking to my "only if I love it" policy!! LOL!), I ended up with two outfits each from CAAB and H&S. So, I did a crappy job of sticking to my "one outfit per line" rule. :P I hope to try everything on Amy Grace after she wakes from her nap so we can all see how they look on a baby.

Unlike some others said, I actually liked them even better in the store. Both lines are so fallish and I really liked them. Also, after my COF discount, Visa discount, and a store credit I had, I only had to pay $79 so I thought I got off pretty good! :) I loved the CAAB mary janes but decided to skip them since we already have some cute brown shoes. They were really adorable! The hairball ponies and fur vest were funny, I thought. :P

For DS:
Alphabet Soup Socks

For Gifts:
JF Striped Shirt
LS White Eiffel Tower EH Shirt
EH Print Short Sleeve Shirt
EH Socks
Yellow One piece from Lavender Bouquet

I did like the light blue Husky Shirt for DS but I'll need to buy something with my 2 Gymbucks. The sale racks were literally picked clean in my store. The prices didn't seem fantastic on what was left. The new girls' lines are adorable. I love the colors and the prints. As usual, I'm saving lots of money having a boy-no complaints!

Well, like Denise, I'm trying to only buy what I LOVE. And I also have a 1 outfit, 2 maximum, per line rule. But I really loved almost everything in CAAB (I didn't like H&S at all-- couldn't deal with the mushrooms). So, I bought way too much. When the baby wakes up from her nap, I'm going to try everything on her and hopefully eliminate some items.

Anyway, this is what I bought:

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11428.jpg

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11429.jpg

Plus, I bought a hat to match a dress that Denise sent me:

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11430.jpg

I'm torn about the hoodie set. I love the color but am not sure about the "Cutie". I'm also not sure about the "Cute as a Button" tee. I'll just have to see them on her.

And I'm debating about exchanging the jeans for the brown polka dot pants. The brown pants were disappointing because they weren't what I expected (thick and plush like the pink Puppy Love ones and no embroidered polka dots), but they ARE still cute!

Take pictures, everyone!!! I want to see these babies (and older kids) in their new clothes!

Well, I did stick to the one outfit per line rule -- except that I already had one SFF outfit, so I now have two from that one...and I didn't even like it that much when it first came out. Go figure!

Here's what I got:

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11442.jpg http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11443.jpg

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11444.jpg http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11445.jpg

I know some of these outfits look a bit bland, but they're for daycare, so nothing too fancy. ;)

I just got back and my store was a ZOO! I mean it's normally pretty busy during COF but this was madness! I'm glad I put the striped tights on hold because they were all gone in the KG sizes, and are sold out online. I was tempted but did really well I thought--kept to my 1 outfit rule, but also picked up 2 sale items. My take:

From H&S:

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11450.jpg
http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11451.jpg
http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11452.jpg

From CAAB:

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11453.jpg
http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11454.jpg
http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11455.jpg

And my sale items (the EH top for Ellen--the only thing the poor girl got today--and the SAS top, which was a STEAL--someone had just returned it and I got it for $4!)

So now I'm ready for some Hanna and some new Naartjie, which should be out in all the stores this weekend! :)

I'm trying to enjoy watching you guys buy Gymbo because I am trying with every ounce of will power that I have, to avoid buying Gymbo this weekend. That striped get-up is taunting me.

And Carrie, you are getting an outfit that caught my eye from the get go - that blue fleece outfit. I can just imagine my little girls baby face peeking out from that furry hood. LOL! I love that color blue for winter time. The other piece that's taunting me is that striped dress and/or sweater in HNS. Will power, Kerry. Will power.

I HAVE to be good though. There is SO much new Hanna that I want (for three kiddos, aye yai yai) that I HAVE to dig deep and try and avoid this COF sale.

I guess I'm glad I have boys...

nothing from gymbo is a MUST have, though I will go in tomorrow and see what looks good for Ashton... I may get him a few things. But I can't seem to find my email from gymbo about the sale!!

can someone send me the link to where I can print out the coupon??

Thanks!!

(there were a few cute things, so we'll see what happens when I go in tomorrow, but like I said, I won't be disappointed if i walk out with nothing)

Jenn, I was thinking about shopping Gymbo for Huey, but after staring at the available outfits, I'm just not that interested in them. Let me know if you find something cute though. The sweatpants are a great deal, 2 for $22 and then the 30% off. Huey really needs sweatpants and that's such a great deal. My thinking is though that if I'm going to place an order, I may as well throw in an outfit or two that I love for Andie...and that's what I'm trying to avoid.

Another thing that's getting to me is that baby Gap hasn't finished releasing it's Fall line. At least I think they haven't. Jenn, aren't you the one who mentioned that? If I knew what they were offering for boys Fall stuff, I could then decide if I want to get Huey a Fifth Fleet outfit or something from the new line. What is Gap waiting for?

iluvmy2boys
08-20-2004, 05:30 PM
Honestly - if you're going to get ANYTHING (besides basic sweats) from Gymboree for Huey, I'd get something from Fifth Fleet. Fifth fleet just appeals to me MUCH more than the new "Thin Air" (that's the name, right? LOL) line. Nice, rich, fall colors. If you're going to place an order, pick your aboslute FAVORITE outfit for Andie (just ONE) and get that one, but no more.... ;) that way you'd get something you know you really love and you'll get Huey stuff he needs.

And yes, I was told that Gap will be releasing the rest of their fall line near the end of August (so within the next 2weeks or so?). I hope so! I LOVE their sweats for Ashton and Holden!!

Well, I spent a lot less than I originally thought I would. A little over one gymbuck's worth. My store was crazy busy with people, though the SAs were very gracious about handling it all. I was glad I'd put everything on hold.

I bought mostly older things:

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11458.jpg
http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11459.jpg
http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11460.jpg
http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11461.jpg

And also two newer H & S basic pieces (prices were just too good to pass up!):

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11462.jpg
http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11463.jpg

OK, now those of you who bought from the newer fall lines, post some pics of your babes so that I can doubt my judgment and go back for more!

Well I spent $152 and could have easily spent way more. My store was a mad house. I can't believe how picked over the CAAB line was already and I was there at 1:30 pm. I didn't expect it to be that way, since there wasn't nearly as much buzz about the new lines as there was about EH. My store was dead during the EH sale. One thing that ticked me off was I really wanted the cranberry skirt in a 12-18, but they were sold out so I had to buy an 18-24 and hope for an exchange. Well as I'm checking out one, of the sales clerks comes in with her two little girls and they bring her hold out. She said, "Oh I didn't see anything yet, I just called (so & so) and told her to put one back of everything." Meanwhile she's got 2 girls and one is a perfect size 12-18! She then proceeded to select which items she wanted and put back what she didn't. I didn't think that was right. If you put something on hold, you should be buy it. I could see a piece or two, but not the entire line!

My advice is to get to the store quick because CAAB is selling fast - especially the accessories. They were also sold out of DD's shoe size and the orange felt hat. There were only 2 cord hats left.

Any how this is what we got.

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11483.jpg

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11485.jpg

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11486.jpg

And DS got

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11487.jpg

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11488.jpg

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11489.jpg

After all that I was still only $85 after the COF and Visa discounts so I threw in some bike shorts and underwear that I plan on returning after redemption.

I'm pretty happy with my purchases though! I looked at the CAAB dress and the H&S Mushroom print dress and neither one looked nearly as good IRL. The CAAB dress was disappointing because it WASN'T red; it was very brownish. The blue Mushroom dress was nice but it was virtually identical to the EH dress (that I got on sale) so I didn't really consider it.

I could have easily spent twice as much as I did, but I really held back!

We got...

From Cute as a Button we got the jumper and tights and sweater. I love it so much. I can't wait until it is cool enough to wear it!

We also got this, which you have to see IRL to appreciate.
http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11510.jpg

And my favorite piece of all has to be this jacket! The Sales Lady brought out the fox undies that have been posted on the Board and I think that line will coordinate well with the jacket.
http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/11511.jpg

Then from Sunflower fields we got this outfit:

Come on redemption time!

Fortunately, a trip to J&J on Friday helped curb my COF spending :) I did get the striped hoodie from CAAB that is so adorable on everyone's little ones, but I didn't like any of the pants from that line so I have to find something else to match with it.

Instead, I picked up this corduroy jumper from DTC that has been on my "maybe" list for awhile and I am so glad I did. It is TDF on -- so sweet and girly.
