ETA: Please see my other post below!

Do you all think this outfit would look good for school pictures? My girls go to the same school, DD#1 is in pre-kindergarten and DD#2 is in preschool. They will have individual pictures taken and they will also have pictures taken together. Since they'll be taken together I want them to at least coordinate, if not match. This is all I could come up with for my Gymbucks! I was planning to buy it for both girls anyway but it would be a bonus if I could use it for the pics, too.

I'm not 100% sure of the headwrap, I'd have to wait and see it on. I'm worried that the sweater might be too plain, but the photographers tell you to wear plain clothing so it doesn't take away from the kids.

What do you all think?

Hmm well my kids only get head shots done in school and i like something; detailing etc on the shirt, either neckline or chest otherwise i find it very plain but that is me ;) the sweater does have a nice collar though so that maybe enough.

My one dd is wearing the short sleeved sweater from EH, to give you an idea on my style of top.

good luck deciding! :)

We did pink top for school pictures and I did not like how it turned out :(( The background was a little untraditional - a shelf of books. I guess if you know the background is going to be blue, pink will look nice! I went with purple flowery dress (older Gymbo) for this year's pictures.

Is the headwrap from Gymbo too? I didn't see it on the website.

Yes, it's in the Kid Girl Accessories section.

I think it would be good to find out the background if you can. Our preschool lets us know about a week ahead what the background will look like. They are usually very gender neutral and at this time of year are usually fall colors like brown, orange, red, and yellow. If those are the colors, I don't think the pink and black would look very good. The CAAB line from Gymbo would be great, though! :)

Here are the other outfits I'm considering for the school pictures next week. The pics aren't great but you'll get the basic look. My concern is that DD#1's outfit is a bit more embellished and DD#2's outfit is more plain. They both look great on and they look good together colorwise, I just don't want DD#2 to not look as fancy as her sister, if that makes sense! They have the same embroidered turtleneck on but I'm not sure how much of it you'll see in the pictures. Last year they did pictures from the waist up. (Please excuse the tags and the Gymbo Whale Watching socks!)

I like the pink. It's very soft and feminine! Yes, I would definitely pick plain shirts to take the photos. Usually school pictures have that bluish grey background, don't they?

I want that same pink sweater, but am on the fence. I read on that Gymborebel website that some of the pink Gymbo turtleneck sweaters have been returned due to not washing up well. I guess they stretched out in the wash or something....What to do...

I love those sweaters and I will be so disappointed if I have to return them! I was planning to buy them even if I don't use them for pictures.

Hopefully the pictures will be taken outside, but the director of the school is going to find out the color of the background if they are done inside.

I just answered your post about the coats while you were answering my post!

I agree, i like the pink. I think the color is interesting but not distracting.

Although the backdrops have probably changed since I was a kid, they were usually sort of marbled neutral colors so it would look good with a host of colors.
