And I do not have costumes for my kids. Jonathan originally wanted to be a ghost and has since decided he wants to be a pumpkin. I thought I would re-use Jonathans first halloween costume for Katherine - a bumble bee. Is this awful to do?

However I now think maybe just some sort of pumpkin sleeper and knitted pumpkin hat for Katherine would be good. I will probably just carry her inthe baby bjorn when I got trick or treating with Jonathan.

For his costume - anyone seen a good pumpkin costume? I thought this one from Pottery Barn Kids was cute:

I need to get moving on this asap. I feel like such a bad mother. I think the part of my brain that helps to organize things has been slowly deteriorating since the birth of my kids, LOL!

That one is cute! I got my son's pumpkin costume from childrens place...

If their real young, i see no problem in re-using a costume, it's more when their older & have opinions you run into trouble LOL ;)

good luck!

Very cute pumpkin costume!

And I would totally reuse a Halloween costume. In fact, Ellen is wearing Kathleen's old angel costume from the same age. I think I will probably do this until she's old enough to insist on something different. :)

That will be adorable! I have a thought for Katherine. Put the pumpkin outfit on then take orange fleece or felt and make a cover for your carrier. If you check out the October addition of Parents magazine they show a couple carrier costumes and I think a pumpkin/jack-o-lantern could be done in a similar way. Well whatever you decide I am sure they will both be adorable!

I saw that in their catalog, and I love it.

I also think bumble bee cotumes are adorable! I'm not sure if it would work in the bjorn though. Matching pumpkins (youngest in a pumpkin sleeper, and hat) would be so great for pics. Hope it all works out.

There is a cute pumpkin costume at childrens place, saw it at the mall last night:

And I saw pumpkin sleepers at target, that would be cute! I don't think it would be horrible to use the bee costume, but I do think that matching pumpkins would be adorable. :)

Good luck! And you still have plenty of time!

Very Crafty! I actually did see that issue of Parents and thought it was cute. My Baby Bjorn is black so maybe I could just do a big jack-o-lantern our of felt and put it on the front. Great idea!

That pumpkin costume is cute - and it is 1/2 the price of the one at PBK (before shipping costs!) I am headed to the mall this weekend, so I am going to check the costume at Children's Place out!

Thanks everyone for your ideas!

Lori - I had the pumpkin costume from Gymboree last year. I had the 18mo-3t size and it ran SUPER HUGE (my 5yo could wear it). I'd be happy to let you have it, if I can find it.

Let me know if you're interested! (I have the hat too, if I have the costume, but I may have bought a smaller sized hat since Holden has a small head)

Jenn:

I am totally interested! Jonathan is definately a size 3T - he's not a huge kid. 18mo - 3T seems like a huge range in size though - I am worried about the fit.

Do you have pics?

I have pics... I'll post them tomorrow as they're not resized (they're mega-huge right now). When Holden wore it last year, he was just starting to fit into the 18-24month size in regular gymbo clothing and this costume (18mo-3t) was HUGE on him, I thought. To make matters worse, the clothes he wore under it were really big as well, poor kid looked like a skinny pumpking but he was still cute.

That all said, we could probably use it again this year if we wanted (maybe not the hat, not sure).... as Holden's still solidly in the 2t-3t range and it had plenty of room in it the last time I checked. This year though, Holden & Ashton are both going to be mickey mouse, LOVE their costumes! :)

Again, I'll post pics tomorrow ... IF I have the costume (if I don't, no sense in posting pics)
