getting red ballpoint pen marks out of clothing

Will my usual routine of soaking in Oxy and hot water, and then spraying with Zout work on these, or should I do something else? The clothing item is a white turtleneck, if that makes any difference on what you'd suggest. Thanks!

try saturating w/ hairspray. weird but works! i have not tried w/ red ink but it has worked on blue/black ballpoint.

Rubbing alcohol also works on blue or black ink but I have not tried red. I would take a cotton ball or wash cloth and try blotting at first to make sure it doesn't run.

Alcohol (also hairspray, since it is mostly alcohol) works excellent on ball point ink. You'll probably find the Oxy Clean and Zout unnecessary. Just saturate the stain with the alcohol, and blot. Once it is gone, wash as usual.
