I just wanted to share a couple of pics of Ava in her new Janie & Jack. The first pics are of the Pressed Flowers (layette) velvet overalls and floral onesie. I LOVE this outfit. It is just so gorgeous and soft, the colors are beautiful, and overalls are especially good now that she is crawling and cruising.

Next are the striped t-neck onesie and tights from the Winter Cozy line. I bought a Ralph Lauren jumper for her to wear with it. I like the tights, but am not sure about the turtleneck. I have a plain pink jeeper from Hanna that might look cuter. What do you guys think? I am just not loving something about this combo.

I LOVE the first outfit! Makenna has a gymbo onesie very similar to that one and I adored it. Colors look great on Ava.

second outfit...its ok...not loving it. not sure if it's just too much stripe, or if Im not wild about that stripe....Id try the Hanna onesie and see how it looks

Love love love the burgandy velvet overalls with the floral shirt. A beautiful outfit in a gorgeous color. When I saw that at J&J, I was sad that it didn't come in larger sizes. Julia had something similar from Gymbo in 6-12 months 2 years ago.

I love the stripey tights, but I think there are maybe too many stripes in this outfit. Maybe a solid top in that darker pink...

She sure is a cutey!

Love the first outfit. The second picture is fantastic... I think it would make a great holiday card photo!

I like the t-neck and the tights in the second outfit, but not together. I'd go with either a solid onesie or solid tights.

What a cutie pie!

Love the first picture. It makes me want to buy the shirt -- she looks adorable!

I actually love the tneck and the tights together and think it looks really cute. I think the jumper may be too muted with all the striped though. It may be cuter with a jumper to match the darker stripes.

I like them both. But, I especially like #2. However, I am a sucker for stripes. :)

I agree the first outfit makes Ava look edible ( I mean that in a good way) and I really like #2. I agree with the previous post, that I think all the stripes need a darker color to tie it together. Is that a chocolate brown in the stripes? I think something in that could really set it off perfectly.

I was doing a bit of searching to see if I could find some dark brown. I did find anything, but found this adorable jumper on llbean's site for $19. I don't know if the color would work, since it's called "poppy" and I generally think of that as red. But it appeared to be more of a fushia on my screen (maybe I need to adjust my screen. I think something in a dark pink would work as well. Just an idea.

I agree with you that the first one is amazing. The second one I think is too stripey, and would agree that either a plain jeeper/turtlesuit with the striped tights (or plain tights with the striped turtlesuit) would work better.

Did you keep those bear fairisle tights from Gap? I'm thinking those would be really cute with that jumper too...

Best,
Mary

Robyn,

I LOVE the first outfit - Ava looks great in that color. I really want it, but dh said no more J&J for a while:(

As for the second outfit, I do like it, but I do think it may look better with a solid top/striped tight combo, or vice versa. Either way, Ava is adorable and she will look cute in anything.

Robyn, Ava is such a doll!! She seems to love trying on her sweet clothes. :)

I love the overalls! They look so soft and cozy. And the second outfit is adorable, too. I really like the tights and shirt combo. The khaki in between breaks it up nicely so it's not overwhelming.

Robyn:

She is so sweet. I love the J&J outfit - that layette line is so beautiful. I loved the cardigan from that line also.

I like the striped pieces in the 2nd pic - but don't know if together they are too much stripe. I would keep both pieces but not necessarily put them both together all of the time. I think another poster mentioned finding a chocolate brown jumper? That would look nice and the dark color might break it up a bit more?

I like the outfits, even the ones with all the stripes. Did you keep the CAAB stuff? Also, may I ask what Ava is wearing for Christmas? I have no ideas and hope to shamelessly copy you once again. BTW - did get the entire Talbots/J&J outfit and it is my favorite now.

Glad you found all the pieces for the Talbots/J&J combo -- such an adorable outfit :)

I ended up keeping *all* of the CAAB items. The skirt was a little big, so I figured she could wear the jumper for the next few months, then when it gets too small, she can wear the skirt. She wore the jumper last weekend with a cream onesie and tights and her J&J brown MJs and she was just too cute.

For Christmas, feel free to copy us as we are copying everyone else and going with the Hanna snowflake dress and matching tights, and black patent MJs or possibly the black Primigi boots on the Hanna site. I am really excited about this set!

Ay yay yay, I've been away for 5 days and I am way behind on posts. I found this one buried and wanted to thank you for posting these. First off, Ava is adorable, as usual. I LOVE that pressed flowers outfit on her. I recently got Andie the Pressed Flowers dress, sweater and hat and I LOVE that floral pattern. I'm trying to only get one outfit per line from my favorite stores, but those velvet overalls are SO cute and cuddly looking.

Also, thanks for posting the tights and t-neck. That was one of the combos I was thinking about too. I like it. I think it looks cute with the jumper too.

Hi Robyn,
Just had to tell you that that second pic you posted is THE CUTEST EVER! She's gorgeous. All of the clothes look great, especially the overalls.
