Probably anything below 40 degrees. Depends on where you live. In Ky, we get away with fleece for most of the winter.

I think it depends on a few factors:

--is it just for in the car, or are you going to be outside
--does baby have on other warm clothing layers (a sweater or a fleece pullover etc)
--is it cold but bright and sunny....or is it damp and rainy

Connor wore his Hanna fleece a lot last winter (we are in PA). Its not a super warm coat, but we usually warmed the car first and he had on warm clothing under it. This year he has his Hanna coat plus a heavier/bulkier one for playing outside. I think 40 degrees sounds like a decent cut-off

I agree that it depends. If we were just going to the car, I would do the Hanna jacket, a hat and a polar fleece blanket wrapped around her regardless of the temperature.

If we were going to be out for an extended period of time or if it was frigid cold and windy (below 30), I had a Lands End Fleece bunting along with the blanket.
