View Full Version : How do I keep my baby's feet warm?

A few nights ago, we went out and about with Ishie in the stroller. He was wearing his HA fleece jacket, a long-sleeved onesie, overalls, socks, and Jack and Lily shoes. When we got home, his feet were cold -- not cold enough to be dangerous, but cold enough that it probably wasn't comfortable.

So what do I need to do about this? I have a fleecy snowsuit I could put him in, but that would be too warm indoors and a PITA to put on and take off as we go in and out. If I put a blanket over him, he'd kick it off. (Our stroller has an enclosure, so it wouldn't fall out, but it wouldn't help anything.) Does he need warmer shoes? Warmer socks?

Any thoughts and recommendations are welcome. TIA. :)

Can you get a boot for your stroller?

How about the Robeez or Bobux boots? I've not seen them IRL, but they look like they would be nice and warm.

How about a Bundle Me... would that work on your stroller? We just brought ours out yesterday because it is pretty chilly and it kept her toasty warm while she was in the stroller.
Or how about double layering socks?
Maybe someone has a recommendation for woolie or fleece booties for a pre-walker?

Yup, I'd go with a "Bundle-me" stroller bunting.

Robeez and Shooshoos both make fleece lined boots. That's what we used last year.

The bundle me is probably the way to go. Otherwise maybe try two pairs of socks and a fleece kind of shoe/slipper like these acorn booties? They're available at: http://www.ruggedbear-online.com/infslippers.html for $14. I have a few pairs of robeez's and being in the Northeast I've been on a search for something warmer for the winter. Have you ever sat on a leather car seat in the dead of winter? Yikes! I just don't want my ds' tootsies to feel like that.
