Need opinions on the fit of some clothes

I ordered the velour overalls from HA. I bought them in a 70, which is what most (but not all) of his clothes are. I'm not sure I'm happy with the fit, though; they seem a little too fitted around the trunk for my taste (he's stoutly built, so his chest is perhaps a little larger for his size than usual). On the other hand, the length is right, and there's plenty of room for the length of his torso and plenty of room for his diaper (the places he usually outgrows clothes first), so sizing up isn't an option. The shirt in the photos isn't the one I'd have him wear with it, so that may be biasing me; but I'm not sure I like these enough on him to keep them. Please tell me what you think.

I think that third one best shows how fitted it is around his chest.

As you can see, he finds both outfits comfy enough to crawl away from the camera in! ;)

I agree with you on the first outfit. If you don't want to try the 80 maybe go for the leaflet wiggle pants or some sweaterpants instead?

I absolutely love the second outfit. How cute. Will he wear that for the holidays?

Love your floors too, BTW! We have hardwood w/no carpet too, nice to see someone else who does the same.

The one in the second set of photos? The white turtleneck under it works, I think; but I like it so much I want him to be able to wear it over more than one top, and I don't think any other shirt we have for him works with it.

Btw, thanks for the feedback, Mary. I'm definitely going to return those overalls. We love the floors here, too, though we rent so we didn't have a say in choosing them. We'll be looking for wood floors in our next place, too, though -- as my DH puts it, there's nothing like being able to clean up a hairball with Windex.

I like the 2 Gap oxfords with this vest. The downside of the gymbo shirt is that at the striped along the neckline will detract from the vest. I am sort of neutral on the last gap shirt you posted. I guess a collared shirt would be my first choice and a long sleeve tee would be a distant second.
