Does anyone have a Bisous de la Maison Benoit sleep sack? I plan on getting one for Conner since it is so cold in our house at night (even though we live in San Diego). On my bed I have 2 blankets and a medium warmth down comforter from The Company Store, so I think it would be nice for Conner to have a down covering too. I was just thinking of ordering him a crib size down comforter from Company Kids, but I always find him laying on top of his blankets and freezing, so I knew that wouldn't really solve the problem either. And then I came across this sleep sack and fell in love. It looks so cozy and he won't be able to kick it off. No more putting on layers and layers of clothing AND blankets. It's pricey, but my mom said she'd split the cost with me so I'm grateful. They have it in sizes up to 36 months and it was started by a Canadian WAHM it looks like. Here's the main website:

And here's a website with the prices in american dollars:

I didn't check the links, but wonder how you clean it? Diaper leaks, vomit, etc. are all normal parts of being a baby and I wouldn't want to have to dry clean the sack.

We live in Chicago, so much colder than San Diego, and Colin does fine with fleece footed PJs from TCP. When it is really cold, we put a pair of cotton PJs underneath the fleece PJs, but that is rare. Anything more than that and he is completely sweaty (and won't sleep)!

We're also in San Diego (and we don't use out heat, which means our house is freezing), but I've found fleece sleepers with socks underneath work best for us.

Where in San Diego are you? I'm in north county.

I am in San Diego too -our house is very cold too, we keep the heater turned down...

I have been putting my 13 mo old in a cotton sleeper and then a fleece sleeper - he's been plenty warm.

I found this idea interesting, both my DH and I love our down comforters. As for washing, the web site says machine wash and just dry with a tennis ball to fluff the down. I know that we have never had any problems washing and drying our Company Store comforter.

Yes, you just machine wash and dry it. I also wash and dry my own down comforter with no problems. I've actually never taken anything to the dry cleaner even when the tags say to!

Hey, fellow San Diego friends! I am in the University Heights/North Park area (near Balboa Park). We should get together sometime. Are any of you obsessed stroller, diaper bag, or sling/carrier owners?

LOL, I wash nearly everything too! A lot of people don't know this, but when a label say "dry clean" it is only the recommended way to clean, but it is safe to wash with water. "Dry clean only" is different meaning you are suposed to dry clean. Of course, I hate the idea of clothes socking in chemicals, and I have washed many "dry clean only" items without a problem. You only need to be careful when it is lined, but I still wash em. ;)
