I feel like DS does not have enough "play clothes". He has enough nice outfits, but then it skips down to jeans or sweatpants. I'm not really liking the sweatpants look for him, so I would like some one piece, long-sleeve, comfy rompers. I almost just ordered a Hanna bold-striped romper, but even with the 20% it's just more than I should spend on an outfit for play clothes right now.

Has anyone seen anything good? I have a Gymbo Dig Dig Dig one-piece that I bought ahead but it is way too big (18-24 months, I projected wrong, he is still 12-18 months). I scoped out Gymbo online today and didn't see anything on sale that grabbed me.

I've seen some Carter's at Costco, but can never find them past 12 months. He would be an 18 months in Carter's I believe.

I found some one-piece rompers at our OshKosh outlet for $9.99. I really like them for play clothes or when I'm too lazy to find matching pieces. I got them in size 18-24 months.

ETA: My TRU store now carries a huge selection of clothing (KRU and Carters brands) and they also had a large selection of really warm Carters rompers. They were around $10.99 (I think).

I would check out Ebay. I'm sure if you do a search, there will be tons of options. Also, check out LandsEnd. Perhaps some of their rompers are on sale. HTH!

I was at Babies R Us the other day, and I was surprised at how many one piece rompers they had. I think the ones I was looking at were Osh Kosh. It ay be worth a try!

I love the LE rompers we got last year. I think I might have a new one that I haven't taken the tags off of that would fit Kai. I'll check for you. :)

LE has nice boy rompers:

or if you're looking for even lower prices try TCP, Carter's or Oshkosh.

I'm with you Deborah! I love rompers for DS, but he's in a 3T now so it's becoming more of a challenge to find them!

We're having the same issue with Charlie - I used to not need to differentiate between nice clothes and play clothes because he never got dirty - now I totally understand! He stains everything (he screams if you even show him a bib these days - I have no idea why) so I've been having to buy more play clothes too.

I think my favorites for him so far are the babystyle separates. They have sleeveless rompers that we do t-shirts underneath. I also really like their knit pants - and I love that they are mix and match - if one shirt gets stained (although I find that the babystyle clothes are very resistant to stains) then I don't have a pair of pants sitting around that doesn't match anything. He always looks so comfortable, too, which is nice.

Little Me also has rompers up to 18-24 months. The selection is much better at their outlets than the department stores.
