All our Naartjie stuff finally arrived and we had a little fashion show. These four outfits are in the running (along with the two Gymbo giraffe outfits-striped dress and giraffe pants/pink tee) as keepers. :)

Crush dye velour mockneck and pant with velour ruffle both in pop: I really think this is cute. The top runs small (it is a 18-24 and the pants are a 12-18). I love these pants and I'm trying to find a top that goes. :) You can't see it very well but the top has fringe at the sleeves.

21 wale corduroy shirt and fancy pant with corduroy frill both in flower: I think this is a really cute outfit. Top and bottom both fit nicely. The top is a thin corduroy but soft.

Rib swiss floral with rayon top in old rose and pant with velour ruffle in cranberry: A cute outfit but I'm not sure about it. The pants are a beautiful dark cranberry color. I couldn't get a good pic of the color. The top has a purply tinge to it rather than being a true pink (reminds me of the pink from Gymbo's Folksong line).

Peter pan collar top and eco stripe rib pants both in bluebell: I love this outfit. I think it's my fave. The blue is gorgeous, the fabrics are soft, and the fringe is TDF. :)

The Reject pile :) :

Corduroy swiss floral dress and pants with velour ruffle both in pop: For some reason this dress just didn't do it for me on. I think I'm not a big fan of the dropped waist.

Peter pan collar top in bluebell and eco stripe pants in cliff: I love this top but I think it looks better with the bluebell pants.

Crush dye velour dress and pants with velour ruffle both in bluebell: I like this okay but dh didn't care for it. I think he said the dress looked like something a "padre would wear". Huh?? Anyway, he rarely has an opinion so back it goes! LOL!

Okay...so what do y'all think? Which do you like best, least, why? Thanks for your opinions! :)

I like the 1st 4. The bluebell and pop outfits are my favorites. My least favorite are the pop drop waist dress and the one your DH does not like.

I like the Pop, Flower, and Bluebell the most. The pop looks wonderful on AG, but so do the other two colors. I like how unusual the flower shirt is.

I am not crazy about the pop dress or the "padre" outfit either! Looks like AG did not care for the dress herself, lol!

Best,

Denise, I love the 2nd outfit in Flower. That color looks so striking on Amy Grace! I also like the Bluebell outfit. Another color that looks great on Amy Grace! The outfits are adorable as well. The other two that are in the running look good, too, but those two are my favorites!

I love the flower outfit on her, that's her color. I agree with you about the drop-waist dress, it just doesn't look right on these little girls with the toddler tummies.

I kind of like the crush-dye dress . . .

um, before you send anything back, email me, okay? :)

:) Karen, I actually have some more items sitting here that are being sent back that I didn't picture. Remember that they screwed up my order? So I also have (not pictured):
21 wale corduroy top in bluebell (18-24)
Fleece swiss floral pants in bluebell (12-18)
Fleece swiss floral pants in flower (12-18)

And the items shown that are definitely going back:
Pants with velour ruffle in blueberry (12-18)
Eco stripe pants in cliff (12-18)
Corduroy swiss floral dress in pop (18-24)
Crush dye velour dress in bluebell (18-24)

The bluebell corduroy top looks good with both the fleece pants and the velour ruffle pants.

Denise,
Amy Grace is too cute! I think she looks great in everything (well, OK, the velour dress isn't *as* cute as the other outfits, but I like everything else).

I've been wavering on placing an order because I've had so much trouble with the Naartjie pants from the previous lines being too loose in the waist on Ava. How are these pants/leggings running? Did you notice any that were not as loose?

I am missing my Naartjie and I am sure Glendale is wondering where I've been lately :)

:) I was wondering if you'd bought anything recently! I think that the pants with velour ruffle and the rib fancy pant with corduroy frill are both running more narrow. The fancy pants are more like leggings (about the same tightness as Gymbo leggings) and the ruffle pants are pretty slim-fitting, too. I especially love the velour ruffle pants! I am still buying 18-24 tops & dresses and 12-18 bottoms even though I'm buying 18-24 bottoms everywhere else including Gymbo. HTH!

Yay! That means I can get TWO outfits! I have been giving J&J all my money lately, but I am pretty sure I won't be buying much from the upcoming line (it's cute, but -- at least from the lookbook -- NMS).

Glendale, await my order!

ETA... Ok, make that three outfits. I blatantly copied you and AG and got the same flower and bluebell outfits that you have, plus the cranberry pants that AG has except with the fleece top instead of the swiss floral top.

I love the flower, old rose and bluebell ones (2,3,4). The pop one is my least favorite, even though I do love her in that color. I just think that the other outfit styles flatter her more. Boy, she is really getting big...where are all of our babies going?

I think what looks strange about the pop set you have is that the pants are flared. Maybe with the swiss flower leggings or the striped leggings? Here's what the second combo looks like on my dd:

Denise,

I really like the first and fourth outfits the best, she looks so pretty in those colors. The second and third also look good on AG. I think the swiss floral dress might look better with a pair of tights or leggings, something that doesn't flare out on the bottom - since the bottom of the dress poofs out. I love the color of the bluebell crushed dye velour outfit on AG, but the dress isn't as flattering as the other outfits. Good choices BTW. I really like the outfits you put together.

I love the first two outfits, especially the pop. The velour mock neck looks so cute! It always amazes me how much cuter naartjie looks on a real live baby.

SOOOO cute. I can't decide which outfit I like best because I really, really like them all. I'd love to see that cranberry color in person. I think I like the 2nd outfit in Flower and the 3rd from the last in pop best. She is such a ham!!

1.Old Rose/Cranberry combo
2.Pop Dress (maybe with tights)
3.Bluebell Peter Pan
4.Pop crush dye top

Denise - it's hard to decide, isn't it??? I like 2, 3, and 4 the best. I LOVE the Flower outfit on her - that corduroy top is sooo very cute. And while I haven't liked the pants with corduroy frill as much on older girls, they look cute on toddlers.

I am already plotting my next order (but don't tell DH - maybe I'll have it shipped to my office ;) ).

Denise,

Amy Grace looks darling in everything!! Why is it that Naartjie looks so much better on her than my girls?

I'm tempted to try them again. Maybe one outfit for Ella Paige only. I really like that peter pan collar shirt. If I decide to do it, I might need your expert advice :-) .
